Wood representing the Wood Realty Company appeared bfiore the Board with Chas. Col.f :engineer, in regard to the dedication of streets in Marquette Park to the City. The Board advised Ur. H. A. Wood to submit to the Board for their approval the dedication of streets in said Marquette Park Addition to South Bend, Indiana, which Mr. Wood agreed to do.' Mr. Cunningham representing Bu8dalo--Springfield Road Roller Company met with the Bnard in regard to contract for steam road roller bids for which were received Apr il%191.8, and contract signed for same on April 16th. ,1918. The Board adjourned at 12:00 N. and continued this session until 1:30 P.M. this 23rd. day of May 1918. President. Thursday May 23rd.,1918. Board met in adjourned session at 1:30 P.M. Mr. John F. Wood Realty Company appeared before the Board and presented plat showing dedication of streets in Marquette Park Addition to the City of South Bend, Indiana, the same was approved by the Board. Mr. H. A. Wood, representing the H. A. Wood Realty Company, -also took up the matter with the Board of paving of streets in his addition, which was considered By the Board and it was agreed with Mr. A. A. Wood by the Board that the in the event that he should pavek any of these,, -streets, that the City.would.promptly take care of all strest intersections affected by said pavement improvements-. Engineer filed Assessment roll and final estimate for Trunk sever. on Portage Avenue and across Wood Tract, from the St. Joseph River to Portage Avenue and Portage Avenue from Keller Street to the north line of Section 34 Township 38 N. R. 2 E. , the boundaries of the area or district benef itted or to be assessed are spread on pages 28 hhand 429-RecordhhNNo. 6 of the Board of Public Works uhder Resolution lv'o. 502,' n tie 8fi;ycefogo�4 B�nrdd QndPaigaic Works Resolved by the Board that notices as required by statute be published on the 24th. day of May 1918 and on the 313t., day of May 1918 in the South Bend Daily Tribune, stating that this Board will give a hearing on the amount of such assessments at its office in the City Hall on the 5th. day of June 1918 at 7:15 P.M. Resolved further, that , the entire work under the above contract be accepted and approved and the final estimate thereon allowed. Notice of this resolution shall be published on the 2011. day of May 1918 and on the 318t., day of May 1918,in the South Bend Daily Tribune, stating that this Board drill give a hearing on the acceptance of such work at its office in the City Hall on the 5th. day of June 1918 at 7:15 P.m - The following; bond and contract were approved by the Board. In the event the said City shall extend the time for the cmpletion of said work, such extension shall not in any way release the sureties on this bond. This shall be a construction bond, and the sureties on the same shall not be held responsible for the maintenance and repair Bf the improvement after it has been accepted by the second party, but such sureties shall be held responsible for the faithful compliance with all other conditions, stipulations and requirements covered by or set out in the contract. The Board advised Mr. Cumnigham to have contract for said roller approved by his company and returned to Board same would be referred to the Common Council for their ratification and a proper ordinance a ppr opr iat ing -money to pay for same.
