CITY OF SOUTH BEND COOLING CENTERS WILL OPEN SATURDAY
SOUTH BEND—The City of South Bend will open three cooling centers across the City
to offer residents relief from the heat index, which is expected to climb over 100 degrees
Saturday. The cooling centers will operate from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The following locations will operate as cooling centers:
1. Charles Black Center

The City also recommends that resident use public facilities(libraries,malls, stores,
restaurants, etc.)as alternate locations for relief from the heat index.
