Mellott, of Anderson Indiana Appeared before the Board as notified in regard to f it i.ng of bond on garbage contract that he has with the City,, and requested that the Board grant him an extension of time until 1:30 P.M: this 15th day of lurch 1918. Same was granted by the Board. The following bids were received for the alterations and repairing of the Police Department -according to plans and specifications submitted by the Building Department, Same were read, tabulated andathe awarding of the contract deferred until 1:30 this 15th. day of March 1918. Bid of C. E. Miller. One ° Thousand Three Hundred fifty eight ($1,358.00) Dollars Add $45.00 for coiling. _ Bdd of Kuehn & Jordon, One Thousand Fourt hundred and fifty ($1;450..00)Dollare add $45.00 for ceiling. Bid of H. Hammond, One Thousand Two hundred ninety four ($1,294.00)Dollars Bid of Plate & Gill. One Thousand Four Hundred ninety eight ($1,498.00)Dollars. Bid of Metzler & Good. Vermande .One Thousand and three hundred-($11,300,00)Dollars, The Board ordered that the Indiana & Michigan Elea. Company be notified to move are light now located at Prairie Avenue and Arnold Street to intersections of Prairie Avenue and Bruce and W. Dubail Avenue. Street Commissioner filed recommendation on Jefferson Blvd. that pfpbers be allowed to replace brick after making cuts for installation of rater or sewer tape, as this: would saves property owners paying twiw* for same as pavement is about to be laid. Same was granted by the Beard. The Board instructed the c lrk to not ift T. F. Grover Mgr. of the Chic.to, South Bend &-Northern Indiana Railway Company that they had considered then .to, Blvd. improvement, and b.ave decided that the orig.$na.l resolution as modified would stand. ( That is from East line of Michigan Street to West line of Bridge over the St: Joseph River.) Pres iden-t. In 24"; Board met in special session at 3; 25 P*U. All members present. J.H. Mellott appeared before the Board and; requested that , the Board grant him an extension of time in which to consider bond for garbage contract until 14/arch 25th. ,1918° at 2: 00 P.M. ,In response to this request the Board granted are extens ion until Ua.rch 25th. 91918 at 2; 00 P.M. Waiter G. Eckler, of„the Eckler Construction Vc=Supply Company appeared before the Board and filed the Following bond and contract for alterations In the Police department, the Board finding that Eckler Construction &Supply Company Is the lowest and best bidder, awarded said contract to then., and approved of same. In the event the said City shall extend the time for the completion of said work , such extension shall not in any way release the sureties on this bond.. This shall be a construction bond, and the sureties on the same shall not be held responsible for the maintenance and repair of the -improvement after it has been accepted by the second party, but such sureties shall be held responsible for the faithful compliance with all other conditions, stipulations and requirements covered by or set out in the contract.
