Board met in regular session at 7: 45 P.M. All members present.
Hearing had on Improvemeht Resolution No. 564 for the Pavement and
of Jefferson Boulevard from East line of Michigan .St"et the east line' of Lincoln
Pay. East and resurfacing pavement from East line -vf 1 inhs n lay East to east line of
Bridge over the St. Joseph River, under Improvetiert Resolution No. 564. id the City ;
of South Bend, Indiana.

Mrs. Nellie Bouth_and Joseph Bevier) but no written remonstrance was filed And the

liable to be assessed. far said improvements. are equal -to the estimated cost of the
name , as reported by the City Civil Engineer, and. thereupon takes final action on
said resolution, with the f6llowingi modification: Pavement onJefferson Blvd. from
the east line of Michigan Street to the west line of Jefferson Street Bridge over the
St. Joseph.River. Resolution rescinded to portion extending toyeast line of Jefferson
Street Bridge* over St. Joseph River, and the same is hereby in all things ratified,
confirmed and approved as modified: -
Resolved further, that notices be published on the 14th. day of
'March 1918 and on the 21st. , day of lurch 1918 in, a newspaper of general circulation
in said City, stating that this Board will receive bids forthe construction of said
improvements up to 10:00 A.M. on the 2nd.day of April 1918. The Board reserves the
right to reject any and all bids.
Mr. Schumaker 'represent ing the Adr ion property on Jefferson Blvd.
appeared before the Board in favor of pavement improvement, also Goo. Robertson and Geo
M .. Witwer.
Mr. Geo, M. Witwer f it ed a complaint about holes in pavement on
Jefferson Blvd. from Sunnyside Avenue to Greenlawn Avenue. Same was ordered referred
to the Street Commissioner for a report.
Tht,Board finding that no petition was filed by the Chicago, South Bed
Bend & Northern Indiana Railway Company in regard to pavement between their tracks,
Mr. G. A. Elli®tt, President of the Board called H. A. Weir Attorney for said 6ompany
by telephone, and Mr. Weir informed him that he would file said petition in proper
form,
