bid € n garbage.

South Bend, Indiana Nov. 30,1917.
I hereby submit my bid for the purchases of the garbage of the City
of South Bend, garbage to be delivered to some central point by said City, 'I also
accompany said bid with a certified check of 0500,00 conditioned for _the faithful
perf'.ormance._of_-sa:id hid -and -,enter said bid according to the plans and specifications
now on -file.
The fallowing is my bid $1.00 per ton for ten 'years.
This bid is for all so-called kitchen. garbage Of the City of South
Bend, Indiana and I c ontemplat a that there is or will be an Ordinance prohibiting others
from collecting the garbage for no consideration when I pay for it If the ordinance
be not passed already it must be passed as my bid is for all garbageAnd not a part.

The Board awarded the contract for collection of City Garbage
to J. H. Mellott as per above bid.
City Attorney requested -to draw up new ordinance for Common
Council to pasts and also contract and bond for J. H: Mellett to sign,
President.
