The report summarizes information contained in the detailed capital asset records in NaviLine that are maintained by the Department of Administration & Finance. The report will also be used in conjunction with the annual financial (CAFR) audit. The report will be prepared monthly and posted to the City's website in the section for financial reports. Year-to-date, the City has acquired $13,290,040 worth of assets. - The Street Department acquired two dump trucks and various vehicle equipment, totaling $669,525. - The Traffic & Lighting Department acquired a pickup truck with a plow for $45,173 and a sign printer for $15,995, totaling $61,168. - The Solid Waste Department acquired a two trash trucks for $488,928, a pickup truck with a plow and dump- bed for $63,682, totaling $552,610. - The Organic Resources Division acquired a tub grinder, which grinds wood and yard waste, for $546,090. - The Water Works Department acquired a dump truck, pickup trucks, cargo van, and a hydraulic hammer, totaling $395,200. - The Wastewater Department acquired several vehicles and various vehicle equipment, totaling $517,531. Also, a wastewater treatment plant grit & screening improvement project was completed, totaling $1,427,180. A portion of the Calvert Lift Station replacement project was completed, totaling $1,028,151. - The Fire Department acquired two ambulances for $329,316, a Haz-Mat response rig for $587,428, a car for $25,065, and a watercraft for the River Rescue program for $13,615, totaling $955,424. - The Parks Department acquired an ATV for $28,809, 14 lawnmowers for $142,800, a scissor lift for $13,573, a bobcat for $45,880, a boom lift for $47,500, several pickup trucks with snow plow attachments, playground equipment, and other equipment, altogether totaling $1,415,086. - The Department of Code Enforcement acquired 3 pickup trucks and equipment for the trucks for $111,324. - The Building Department acquired 3 cars, totaling $67,497. - The Central Services Department acquired heavy duty mobile lifts for $114,180 and a hydraullic ironworker machine for $22,614, totaling $136,794. - The Police Department acquired an SUV for $24,826 and 4 motorcycles for $91,338, totaling $116,164. - The Department of Administration & Finance acquired a copier for $10,924. - A memorial statue of Father Theodore Hesburgh and Martin Luther King Jr was errected in Leighton Plaza for $240,000. - A portion of Ignition Park infrastructure was completed totaling $4,277,077. Year-to-date, the City has disposed of $1,218,285 NBV of equipment (original purchase cost totaling $10,757,365). - On June 21, a fire truck caught fire at Fire Station #4 and had to be disposed. - On August 26, the Central Services Department held an auction to sell obsolete or old equipment, including police cars, pickup trucks, a dump truck and other various equipment.
