Concerning the improvement of the roadway of Dubail Avenue from
Yichiga.n Street to Miami Street, in pursuance to resolution No, The Board flje,Vir,-
e/ b ent inued` this matter until this date, and they find that no petition had been filed
with said Board by a majority in number of the freeholders residing on said street
to be improved requesting that it be improved with a different kind ofps.vament
than the king heretofore adopted by the Board in its preliminary order; and the.
City Engineer reports that The White Construction Company is the lowest and best
bidder for the kind of pavement heretofore adopted Vy the Board and the Board find
that said jhe White Construction Company is the lowest and best bidder and hereby
lets the contract for said improvement to him and orders that said improvement be
made with Mexician Asphaltic Concrete and all proceedings heretofore had in this
matter are hereby,conf irmed and ratified,

No. 521. In.the.City of South Bend, Indiana.
Resolved, that notices as to the amounts of assessments as required,
by statute be published" on the 4th. day of September 1917 and on the :llth..day of
September 1917 in the South` Bend Daily Tribune, stating that this Board will give a
hearing on the amount of such assessments at its office in the City Mall on the
18th. day of September 1917 at 7:45 P.M.
Resolved further,, that the entire work under the above contracts be
accepted and s#.proved and the final estimate thereon allowed.
Communication received from George T. Bingham Sec'y. & Treas., of
The St. Joseph Loan & Trust Company in regard to permission to improve roadway of
Sunnyside Avenue from McKinley Street to La Salle Avenue with concrete on private
contract, the same was referred to the City Engineer for report.
