sewer
in across the Woods
Tract in
Northwestern part of City and on Portage Avenue from Kinyon Street to
City Limits,
also grading of said Portage Avenue. The
Board
instructed the City
Engineer
to prep&re resolutions for the same.

Sewer, Water and Gas Connections on Corby Street from St. Louis Boulevard to Niles
Avenue,
To the Honorable Council:
Gentlemen:- The Board of Public Works herewith presents its report
for.the following sewer, Gas and Water Connections.

RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS N0..498.
On motion duly made and seconded , the following preamble and resole-
✓ t ions adopted:
WHEREAS, The Board of Park Commissioners did on the 19th. day of -
January 1917 deem it expedient and of public utility to permanently improve Corby
Street, between Niles Avenue and tt 'Louis Blvd., by paving the roadway of the same,
and did on said date pass, and adopt resolution authorizing said permanent improve

nebt, and
` WHEREAS, ' The City Engineer he`s prepared and filed with phis Board a
report shawing saute, of the service p ipes, mains, conduits, laterals and connections
which are, or will be, ,necessary to accomutodate theabutting property owners with gas
water, heat, steam or any other.produat for which any person, firm -or corporation
has been granted': a franchise far supplying the citizens of South Bend, Indiana, which
report is as follows: Gas Connections: Mary A. Campau 149 Water connections 14,

Be It Resolved, That said report of said City Engineer be and is here
by adopted, And be it further Resolved, That it is contemplated by.the Board of.Park
Commissioners to improve Corby"Street from St. Louise Blvd. to Niles Avenueal.l in
said City of South Bend by pavement. 'And it is hereby declared necessary that water
and sewer connections should be made in accordance with the improvement as above des-
cribed, which connections shall b made by the property owners or upon failure to so
do shall be made in accordance with Ordinance No. 1842 of the City of South B.end,Ind.
passed by the Common Council July 24th.ml916, presented to the and signed by the Maya
