Key Performance Indicator’s Impacting Ecological Stewardship:
• Planted 58 new trees
• Pruned and provided healthcare to 62 parks trees
Completion and successful opening of the Charles Black Recreation Center
Decorating the three roundabouts with lights, garland, and wreaths at Chippewa, Marion, and Barlett.
Installing and programming the Menorah placed in Jon Hunt Plaza.
Skilled Trades
• New furniture made and installed at the Rum Village Nature Center.
• New handrails fabricated and installed at the Charles Black Center Parking Lot
• Memorial Bench installed along Riverside for the Barrier Family.
• “Swing Table” built for our “Surprise & Delight” project for 2018. These picnic tables feature swings
instead of seats and can be placed throughout our parks.
Key Performance Indicator’s Impacting Neighborhood & Economy:
Grounds Crews
• 1,013 hours spent removing leaves in parks
• 319 hours spent plowing snow
Purchasing
• F&G Saved $12,507.66 on products and materials by using competitive pricing with vendors.
How we’ve addressed our Departmental Impact Drivers this month:
Forestry
• The City Forester has negotiated a legal low payment plan for 2 residents who are experiencing financial
hardships and cannot afford to take care of dead and dying trees on their property. This allows City crews
to remove the dangerous liability, while still allowing the resident to make low monthly payments with 0
interest.
