AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
BEND, INDIANA, APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR CERTAIN
DEPARTMENTAL AND ENTERPRISE OPERATIONS IN 2018 OF$157,435
FROM CONSOLIDATED BUILDING FUND (#600), $190,000 FROM SOLID
WASTE OPERATIONS (#610), $12,000 FROM WATER WORKS CUSTOMER
DEPOSIT (#624), $8,000 FROM WATER WORKS DEBT SERVICE (#625),
$10,000 FROM WATER WORKS BOND RESERVE (#626), $25,000 FROM
WATER WORKS O&M RESERVE (#629), $6,600 FROM SEWAGE WORKS
OPERATING (#641), AND $55,000 FROM SEWAGE WORKS O&M RESERVE
(#643).
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT
The Common Council passed the City's 2018 operating and capital budgets in
2017 (Ordinance#10537-17 passed on October 23, 2017), which included expenditures
for various City enterprise operations. It is now necessary to appropriate additional funds
for operational expenditures necessary for the City to effect provision of services to its
citizens which were not anticipated at the time the City budget was adopted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of
South Bend, Indiana, as follows:
Section I. The following amounts are hereby appropriated in fiscal year 2018 and
set apart within the following designated funds for operational expenses as follows:

Water Works Customer Deposit(#624) 12,000
Water Works Debt Service (#625) 8,000
Water Works Bond Reserve (#626) 10,000
Water Works O&M Reserve(#629) 25,000
Sewage Works Operating(#641) 6,600
Sewage Works O&M Reserve(#643) 55,000
TOTAL $464,035
Section II. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage by the Common Council and approval of the M. e .
