RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
INDIANA, AWARDING AUSTIN PRICE WITH THE
"MAY 2012 SOUTH BEND CITIZEN YOUTH AWARD"
GWi" the South Bend Common Council notes that the youth of our city are the hope and
promise for a better tomorrow in our community; and
6A)" the Common Council is proud to recognize that AUSTIN PRICE attended LaSalle
Academy and is now a Freshman at Washington High School where he is part of the South Bend
Community School Corporation's Medical /Allied Health Magnet Program; and
(W)" the Council notes that AUSTIN is a very talented and gifted - having earned
straight A's this entire school year; is fluent in Spanish and wants to study at either Stanford
University of USC as he pursues a career goal of becoming an anesthesiologist; and
GX" AUSTIN is a member of the Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church; loves to
play football; is a wrestler; and many of his teachers at Washington believe he is a great role model
for other students and the youth of our city.

Section I. On behalf of the citizens of the City of South Bend, Indiana, the Common
Council is pleased to publicly present to AUSTIN PRICE, a Freshman at Washington High School
where he is part of the Medical /Allied Health Magnet Program, with the "MAY 2012 SOUTH
BEND CITIZEN YOUTH AWARD ".
Section II. The Common Council thanks AUSTIN for working and studying hard to
become a role model who reflects excellence through his academic performance, his positive
attitude, his leadership abilities, and especially through his many hours of volunteering for the
March of Dimes, AIDS Ministries, Real Services, Inc., and at the St. Joseph Regional Medical
Center. Congratulations and we wish you continued success in pursuing your career goals.
Section III. This Resolution shall be in full force and l fom and fter its adoption by
the Council and approval by the Mayor. /
