Agenda: Bill No. 12 -05 — Promotes Transparency of Council Appointees to
Boards /Commissions
Personnel & Finance Chairperson Karen White asked Councilmember Oliver Davis to make a
presentation of this resolution he had drafted. Oliver stated that in the fast changing arena of city
government the Council needs more feedback from various boards and commissions than the
current annual report. Mr. Davis said the Council's appointees to these bodies should report back
to the Council on a quarterly basis. Oliver asked for support from fellow Councilmember's of this
resolution and input for consideration and possible inclusion in the bill making these reports a
requirement to be considered at the next meeting on May 14 th
After brief discussion Gavin Ferlic moved the bill get a favorable recommendation. Dr. Varner
seconded and all supported.
There being no further business to come before the committee at this time, Chairperson White
adjourned the meeting at 3:59 p.m.
