A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN APPLICATION FOR
REAL PROPERTY TAX DEDUCTION
WHEREAS, I.C. 6 -1.1- 12.1 -2(j) provides that an application
for property tax deduction may not be approved when the property is
located in an allocation area as defined in I.C. 36- 7- 14 -39, unless
the Redevelopment Commission, which designated that allocation area,
adopts a resolution approving that application; and
WHEREAS, the South Bend Common Council has received a
petition for six years of real property tax abatement consideration
from Hale Corporation, d /b /a Business Communication Center for real
property located at 329 -331 -333 S. Michigan in the South Bend
Central Development Area, the legal description of which is attached
hereto, marked Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein; and
WHEREAS, this Commission declared the South Bend Central
Development Area by Resolution No. 737 adopted May 10, 1985 and in
the same resolution declared the South Bend Central Allocation Area
(South Bend Allocation Area No. 1A); and
err WHEREAS, the property located at 329 - 331 -333 S. Michigan
is located within the South Bend Central Allocation Area (South Bend
Allocation Area No. 1A);
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the South Bend
Redevelopment Commission as follows:
1.) The Commission finds that the application of
Hale Corporation, d /b /a Business Communication Center
for six years of real property tax abatement
consideration located at 329 - 331 -333 S. Michigan in the
South Bend Central Allocation Area (South Bend
Allocation Area No. 1A) is hereby approved.
2.) That a copy of this resolution be forwarded
to the South Bend Common Council to indicate the
Commission's approval of the Hale Corporation, d /b /a
Business Communication Center petition for real
property tax abatement.
Ce Approved this 13th day of March, 1987, at the regularly
scheduled meeting of the South Bend Redevelopment Commission.

EXHIBIT "A"
PARCEL I: Part of Lot Numbered Two Hundred Ninety -nine (299) as
shown on the Original Plat of the Town now City of South Bend,
Indiana, which is bounded by a line running as follows, viz:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of said Lot Numbered 299; running
thence West along the Southerly boundary of said Lot Numbered 299 a
distance of 10 rods to the West line of said Lot Numbered 299;
thence North along the Westerly boundary of said Lot Numbered 299 a
distance of 492 feet; thence Easterly on a line parallel with the
Southerly boundary line of said Lot Numbered 299 a distance of 10
rods to the Easterly boundary line of said Lot Numbered 299; thence
South along the Easterly boundary line of said Lot a distance of 492
feet to the place of beginning.
PARCEL II: Lot Numbered Three Hundred (300) as shown on the
Original Plat of the Town, now City of South Bend, Indiana.
