The event will take place Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. in the center's auditorium. The Kroc Center is located at 900 West Western Avenue, on the corner of Western and Chapin. "This is a wonderful opportunity to highlight some of the accomplishments of our City, but also a moment to set real goals for the future," said Mayor Buttigieg. "I would like to share how we are delivering on a fresh start for South Bend through various initiatives we have launched or will launch in the near future to make our City an even better place to live, work, and play." In recent years, the State of the City address was connected to the finance address to the Common Council, which was traditionally conducted during the Council's first meeting in February. This year, however, Mayor Buttigieg and the Council agreed to conduct the financial overview in February and have a broader speech around the first 100 days in office. Mayor Buttigieg's 100th day in office will be Monday,April 9,2012. The Kroc Center's auditorium holds approximately 400 people.
