South Bend Community:
South Bend Police Chief Darryl Boykins has served with distinction on
the police department since 1984. He is a man of integrity. He was able
to implement many innovative programs which were aimed at increasing
the safety of our residents and neighborhoods.
Tim Scott He has dedicated his public safety career for the betterment of South
First District Bend. He has worked closely with countless youth throughout our city, in
the hope that their futures would be brighter.

Chief Boykins was always forthright when giving detailed information
each year, as the South Bend Common Council would review the police
department budget. He was always available when any Council member
had a question about an issue in their neighborhood. His public service to
our community has made it a better place to live and work.
The South Bend Common Council would like the Mayor to leave Darryl
Boykins in his position as Chief of Police.
