On October 5, 2018, President Trump signed the FAA Reauthorization Act of 2018. The Act establishes new conditions for recreational use of drones and immediately repeals the Special Rule for Model Aircraft. The FAA is evaluating the impacts of this change in the law and how implementation will proceed. The new federal statute requires a report within six (6) months relating to the roles of Federal, State and local government in regulating low altitude UAS. ### Tim Scott President Oliver Davis Vice-President Gavin Ferlic Chairperson, Committee of the Whole Tim Scott First District Regina Williams-Preston Second District Sharon L.
