In the City of South Bend, Indiana, ' Resolved that notices as to the amounts of assessments be publsihed for sux consecutive days: in the South Bend Daily tribune, commencing on. the 4th.: day of December .1916 stating that this `Board will give a hearing on the amounts of such assessments `dt1 its office in the City Hall December 19th. 1916. at 7:45 P.M. Resolved further, that the entire work under the above contract be accepted and anpr.oved a:nd the f ina.1 estimate thereon allowed. Notice of this resole- t ion shall be pub 1 ishead on the 4th.. _day of December 1916 in the. The Board has ordered 'that notices of such award of damages and aassessg- menets of, benefits be served a ccording to law, and'that a hearing be given on the 19th day of December. 1916 at 7:45 P.M. at the office of the Board in the City Hall for the purpose of hearing remonstrators and receiving remonstrances°from any person or persons interested in said matter. Thereupon the Board proceeded to award the damage S ascertained and to assess, the 'beneifte, ace tuing to each piece of property upon said list, It was thereupon, upon motion duly made and-deconded and unanimously adopted, resolved that said list, together with the amouxts.of benefits and demages and net benefits and net damages therein set forth as to the several parcels of land be adopted and that the respective amount of benefits contained ix said list he and are hereby assessed against the several tracts of Land as specifically set forth in said list, and that the respective amounts of damages contained in the said list be and are `hereby awarded to, the several'tracts of land as specifically set forth is said -list, and that the net benefits or net damages, as the case may be is.to the respective tracts of land, contained in said list are hereby awarded or assessed, as the canoe may be an to the said several tracts -of land. the Board hereby further sets off the benefits and damages each .agtin.ast the other where both benefits and damages are assessed, nhs against the, same piece ifrproperty, tract of `lead or iaterent,axd hereby fixes daid respective net benefits in the amounts that shall be paid by the reppective owners as benefits ° and further hereby -fixes the respective net damages as to the several tracts as the amount that shall be paidto the owners of the respective tracts a7 demeges. Vhereupos, upon motion duly made and seconded and unanimously adopted the 19th. day of,December 1916 at 7:45 P.M. was fixed as the day on which this Board will receive or hear remonstrance& from persons with regard to the amount of their respective awards or aasessments, and the Clerk of this Board was instructed to prepare and cauase to be duly and legally given, notices to the owners of each parcel of property, showing the amount of the assessments or award, with a descrip- tioa of the property affected, and the date of said hearing, Communication received from Harter fealty Company ' in regard to fingg of plat. Same react and placed on file. Gowmuaicatiox received from A. H. Cushing, relative to renewing of ✓ insurance policy on property at 224 No. Main. Street. the same placed on. file. Insurance for the amount of Nine Hundred $900.00)Dollarae for property at 224 No. Main Street owned by the City, policy for same placed with Arthur S, Hrdin for the above amount to date frem -Dcce-fter 16th.91916. Bond and contract for resurfacing pavement eft. La Porte Avenue from Washington Avenue to Linden Avenue under Improvement Resolution No, 475, signed by W. B. Brady Construction Company was approved by the Board. Petition for electric light at corner of Arnold Street and Grace Street read and placed on the for investigation. Petition for electric light at corner of Chapin Street and Taeae Street was read and placed on file. Complaint about Home. Telephone Company pole at 606 E. Sample Street as being very dangerous. The Board ordered the stm* resett at once, upon recom- ° V/mendations from the pule and wire inspector.
