Br'ndon representing a committee from the Chamber of Commerce appeared before the Board in regard to the cluster lights in the business district. Also Mr. F. A. Bryan, Pres. of the Indiana & Michigan Elec. Company and Mr. F. L. Dennis, Treas. were present at said meeting. The Board a,ggeed to take a contract for cluster -lights in the following streets. Main Street from La Salle Avenue to Wayne Street. Michigan Street from - La Salle Aveue to Monroe Street. Washington Avenue from alley between Lafayette ✓ Street and Main Street east to Michigan Street. Colfax Avenue from Main Street to Michigan Street. Wayne Street from tin Street to St. Joseph Street, Jefferson Blvd. from the .alley .between Lafayette Street and Main Street east to St. Joseph Street, The too light to be 100 Wandle Power and fourw60 candle Power on sides. Top lamp to burn .all :.night, 3 ides lights until mid night. Lamps that are known. as dead ends at Michigan St and Monroe Street of the lighting system. The two cluster lamps at intersection of Michigan Street and Monroe Street, the top lamp to be 250 Gandle Power. At the -intersection of Mayne Street and St. Joseph St. the top lamp to be 250 C. P. and -at the intersection of Jefferson Blvd. and St. Joseph Street the top lamp to be 250 candle power. The placing of the above cluster lighting system would mean. the .d a-- placing of thirty eight are lamps and two railway are lamps. The Committee from the Chamber of Commerce promised to take this matter up with the Gratin Trunk Ry. officials, in regard to placing cluster lamps at their crossing at Division and Michigan Street. Mr. J. M. Studebaker with Mr. Geo. M. Witwer met with the Board and t discussed the widening of Eddy Street and Mishawaka Avenue. This matter was deferred until Tuesday November 14th.,1916. at 1Q:00 to be taken up with the ✓ City Civil Engineer. President.
