Bids were received, openednand read for pipe sewer on Miner Street from Notre Dame Avenue to North St. Peter Street,. Bids were received opened and read for pipe sewer- on Dale Avenue from Indiana- Avenue to Dubail Avenue The -same were referred to the City Engineer for tabulation to be reported on at 7:45 P.M. this 24th day of Octobr 1916. This be i.ng the date set for final order to be adopted on Track Sepa.ratt Separation Resolution No. 2 for the New York Central Railroad Compamy from Chapin Street to Michigan Street this City. B. Brady Construction Company was approved by the Board. Permission granted the Central Union Telephone Company to set one anchor on the east side of the alley between St. Peter Street and Notre Dame Avenue just south of Jefferson Blvd. ° In regard to complaint about poles being set inside of sidewalk on St. Vincent Street from Foster Street to Niles -Avenue, the pole add wire Inspector reports as follows: - These poles belong to the Central Union Tel. Co. St. Vincent St. will soon be graded and then have curb built, then the poles will be resett and be in the proper place. The people on St. Vinert Street have been notifiedthat the poles will be resett when the grade and curb is finished., South Bend, Ind. Oct. 24,1916. R E S O L U T I O N . WHEREAS, One Henry R. & G. B. Wood et al did purchase from the � City of South Bend, Indiana for the consideration df Thirty seven dollars and sixty eight cents ($37.68) the following described property: All of lot 441 Block 1-3 West in the City Cemetery of the City of South Bend, Indiana. That the lot conveyed was heretofore deecee to Henry R. & G. B Wood, et al. That G. B. Wood has heretofore Z ied leaving said real estate to Martha his wife as his survivor g d who has remarried and that her present name is that of Martha Castell. That she has lost said deed which was not recorded and this conveyance is executed for the purpose of clearing their part of tdtle to this said City Cemetery lot. THEREFORE, BE IT .RESOLVED, by the Board 'ot Public Works of said City, that the Mayor of said City be and i s hereby instructed to issue a duplicate deed to said H. R. In the City of South Bend, Indiana** Upon said hearing remonstrators a °speared btt no written remonstrance was filed. The Board after due consideration decided to defer said hearing until Tuesday March 6th. 1916 at 7:45 P.M.Clerk instructed to send out cards in time for hearing. Rev. Emery Allen appeared before the Board and presented petition for pavement an alley between Franklin Street and Lafayette Street from Monroe Street to South Street. The same was referred to the City Engineer for investigation, Henry Slot contractor on the Cleaning and deepening of McCartney Creek appeared before the Board in regard to the number of yards of excavation in his contract. The Board instructed the City Engineer to investigate this matter and report to the Board. Contract for p*pe sewer on Miner Street from Notre Dame Avenue to St. Peter Street awarded to L. H. Webster for the amount of ..... $687.25 Contract for pipesewer on Dale Avenue from Indiana Avenue to_Dubail Ave. awarded to L. H. Webster for the amount of.....................$543.32 The Board ordered that the Building Commissiner purchase an L. C. Smith typewriter from the Typewriter Shop for the sum of.....$45.00 Engineer filed assessment roll and final estimate for pipe sewer on D onald Street from Michigan Street to Main Street, under Improvement Resolution No. 455. In the City of South Bend, Indiana. Resolved, that notices as to th amounts of assessments as required by statute be published on the 26th. day of October 1916. and on the 2nd. day of November 1916 In the South Bend Daily Tribune, stating that this Board will give a hearing on.the amount of such assessments at its pffice in the City Hall on the 14th. day of G44 1916. at 7:45 P.M. Resolved further, that the entire work under the above contract be accepted and approved and the final estimate thereon allowed. Notice of this resolu- tion shall be published on the 26th. day of October 1916.and on the 2nd. day of November 1916 in the, South Bend daily Tribune, stating that this Board will give a hearing on the accetance of such work at its office in the City Hall on the 14th. day of November 1916.. at 7:45 P.M. Resolved,'that notices as to the amounts of assessments b6published for six consecutive days in the South Band Daily Tribune,, commencing on the 30th. day of October 1916, stating that this Board will give 'a haring on such assessmetits at its office in the City Hall on -'November' 14th., lQlat 7:45 PA.. Attorney W. G. Crabill representing resenting the United Cigar Stores Company appeared .before ,the Board requesting-permission-,to,repair the.butside stairway located in the allley on the west side of the building now l6cated at 116 W.
