Property owners residilag on Lincoln tray West in vicinity. of Wood Street
appeared before the B•-)a`rd and remonstrated against Dr. I. Beistle' erecting a garage
on Lincoln '3lay West, :as same r:a.s a residence locality. No action taken as. building Fermi
permit we,s Written before Building Code went into effect.
Communication addressed to the Mayor referred to the Board innregard to
a freight depot being erected on La Porte and Colfax Avenue,, resident property owners
ob je ct ing to same.
The following complaints were received and recor=endations of the: Pole
and Wire Inspector wiNapproved by the Board.
Complaint of a telephone pole in way of fence at 1148 W. Jefferson Blvd.
Inspector reported that this was a Indiana, & Mic hi gan Electric Company pole and used
jointly by the South Bend Home_ Telephone Company and that the pole sets partly on private
�. ground t,rd should. bt: reset just outside of the property line as the fence is now being
built.
A pole in tle alley west of Franklin Street -rkl south of 'Nashin -°ton
Avenue. Inspector reports that this pole belongs to the South Bend Nome Tel. Company
The pole stands on the west side of the alley. Mr. Milton®s garage is on the east
side of the alley and just where the turning of his auto is made this pole can be
resett to the south about 10 feet, which would kelp out very nicely at this place.
A cable running traough cherry treed on lot owned by Christ. Troeger
416 So. Francis Street. Inspector reports that this is a Central Union Telephone
Cable and should be, r66ved to the south far enough to clear ground. This work should be
done at once.
Permissionwa.s grunted to the Central Union Telephone Company to move
one pole at the .corner ,of MicYd gan Street and Broadway. Poles on cross streets should
not sqt less than twenty feet from M-ichigan Street when holding -t*,ires which cross
v"Michigan Street.
Renewal certificate of Bond No. 0548126 of Williem Collmer and the
American Surety Company was approved by the Board.
Petition received for the opening of an alley between Notre Dame Ave.
and St. Peter Street from south lineof Corby Street to the south lot of Lot 23
- Sarrin' s 2nd. Addition.
