Attorney R. Obenchain with Mr. T.-A- Hynes, of the New Jersey
Indiana & Illinois Railroad Company appeared before the Board.xxdx as this being th
' the date set for the hearing on the form of franchise for an industrial spur track
across _ dertain streets and alleys in the City of South Bend, Indiana,
Attorney R. Obenchain appeared on behalf of the New.Jersey,
Indiana & Illinois Railroad Company and filed forms of notice together With
affidavit of pub l ishers of the publication of the South Bend ` News Times, one
advertisement . on the 2nd. day of June 1920 also filed printed form and proof of
.the advertisement in the South Bend Tribune on the 2nd. day of*June 1920, also
affidavit of Vitus G. Jones Attorney of Railroad Company relative to the posting
in tdL, .publQ: I)laces in the City of South'Bend; copy of which notice was attached
The franchise hereby agreed bn by the Board is now 'heard and the
there being no objections filed and no objectors present objecting to the form
or contents of said franchise adopted by the Board of Public Works on the 2nd.
day of June 1920 , it is hereby resolved by the Board that said franchise is
hereby approved and referred to the Common Council for ratification.

copies , of which the annexed notice is a true copy, were pasted in ten (10)
public places in the City of South Bend, said County and State, on the' day of
