RESOLUTION NO. 890
A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN APPLICATION FOR
REAL PROPERTY TAX DEDUCTION
WHEREAS, I.C. 6 -1.1- 12.1 -2(j) provides that an application for
property tax deduction may not be approved when the property is
located in an allocation area as defined in I.C. 36- 7- 14 -39, unless
the Redevelopment Commission, which designated that allocation
area, adopts a resolution approving that application; and
WHEREAS, the South Bend Common Council has received a petition
for ten years of real property tax abatement consideration from
Main Street Row Properties for real property located at 209 N. Main
in the South Bend Central Development Area, the legal description
of which is attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A" and incorporated
herein; and
WHEREAS, this Commission declared the South Bend Central
Development Area by Resolution No. 737 adopted May 10, 1985, and in
the same resolution declared the South Bend Central Allocation Area
(South Bend Allocation Area No. 1A); and
WHEREAS, the property located at 209 N. Main is located within
the South Bend Central Allocation Area (South Bend Allocation Area
No. 1A) ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the South Bend Redevelopment
Commission as follows:
1) The Commission finds that the application of Main
Street Row Properties for ten years of real property tax
abatement consideration for property located at 209 N. Main in
the South Bend Central Allocation Area (South Bend Allocation
Area No. 1A) is hereby approved.
2) That a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the
South Bend Common Council to indicate the Commission's approval
of the Main Street Row Properties petition for real property
tax abatement.
Approved this 8th day of September, 1989, at the regularly
scheduled meeting of the South Bend Redevelopment Commission.

EXHIBIT "A"
Lots 226, 227 and 228 of the original plat of the Town (now city)
of South Bend as recorded in the records of St. Joseph County,
Indiana, except that part which is described as:
Beginning at the southwest corner of said lot 228 thence north
along the west line of lots 226, 227, and 228 in said plat 198.00
feet to the northwest corner of said lot 226 thence east along the
north line of said lot 226, 100.00 feet thence south 8.0 feet
thence west 44.80 feet thence south 8.0 feet thence west 17.00 feet
thence south 50.10 feet to the north line of Colfax Avenue thence
west along said line and the south line of lot 228. 38.20 feet to
the point of beginning.
