Board met in regular session at 7:15 P.M. Mr. G. A. Elliott
absent. Mr. H. F. Res t is ear Vice President Acting President,
Dr. F. Vaughan appeared beforee the Board and presented petition for
-grater main on Beale Street. Same referred to the Water Depart,*-.nt. Also petition filed

To the Honorable Board -of Public Works: -
The undersigned petition your honorable Body to vacate so much
of Kessler Boulevard as lies betwean - the Tines of said Boulevard , as shown on the map
of the or ig inal Plat of Portage Nolghts Add it ion to the City of South Bend, filed
herewith and marked Nxhibit " A" and the lines as shown on the map as ,shown in Exhibit
"B" filed herewith.
The lots affected by said vacat ion are lets Nob 34 and 35 now
awned by the Indiana Title Loan Co. Oad lots 35 and 36 now *vadd by Frederick W..

The3 Board ordered the Strsot Cs r iss inner ordered to place cross-
walks in alley between Dubait Avenue and Indiana Avenue on East side of High Street.
Petition received for a light at Vandal is Railroad crossing on
South Chapin Street. Same referred to the Pole and Wire Inspector for a report on same.
Deferred hearing had on assessment.. roll and final estimate for
Grade, curb and walk on st. Vicent Street from Niles Avenue to east line of Harter
Heights Add it ion, under Improvement Res olut ion No. 663. the City of South Bend,
Indiana.
In the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no written
remonstrance was filed. The Board therefore find that the property assessed in said
roll filed August 27th. ,1919 is benef itted in the amounts of assessment as shown
on said assessment as modified in order of the Board of October lst.,L9L9 end the
Board further find that the assessment roll filed August 27th. ,1919 and the final
stimate allowed August 27th.,1919 should be and the same are hereby in all thingso
ratified,, confirmed and approved, as mod if ied.
Petition filed by the members' of the Evangelical church for a large
lectric light a� the cornerof Broadway and South Carroll Street on account of nice
large church now under construction. The Board ordered a light installed.
Dr. E. G. Freyermuth appearedbefore the Beard and submitted
figures for the building of a partition in the Health Board office. The price of $375.00
for the work compLeted was submitted by Dr. Freyermutch thic being the bid of John.
Vermande. The Board instructed Dr. Freyermuth to get prices from other lumb r companies,
also Michigan Evenue Lbr. Co.
Members pf the South Bend Canow Club appeared before the Beard
and requested p ermiss ion to move their cLub house o the piece of City ground located
at Harper Court and River Avenue. The Board gran d said permission .

One at Corner of Peashway and St. Jflseph,Street aid PakaLgon Street.

Stanfield Street. Corner of Stanfield and St. Vincent Street, also mast arm
turned to the center of the cornerof Stanfield Street. 9
The Board ordered the sidewalk on north side of California Avenue
on east side sf,.Brookfield-Street put in under Various Street Contract and.same
to be assessed against the,abutting prderty owners. _
The Fallowing contracts were awarded*
sewer taps on Carroll.Street and Water connections on Carroll
Street awarded "to Josep#,A.,Luther.
Pipe sewer can Kendall Street, Brookfield Street, Spruce Street,'
Garst Street, Pokagaon Street and.Carroll.Streat were awarded to George A. Har.rop.

Board. Clerk instructed tO notify City Contractor to place same.
