� The Chief presented a letter to the Board indicatin� that Clifton
Copelan3 and 1°Jilliam Day had successfu115T passed their probationary per-
iod and recm.n,�ended that theJ be accepted as perrnanent menbers of the �
r^ire Depart:;ient. The Board accepted the Chief� s recor.imendation.
� The Chief reported that Fire�an John Yigh rras to go on sick leave
as: of ;rarch 12, 1947 to go to grixi Arber for an exa^iination.
� An application for the r^ire Departr,ient was approved and ordered filed
for Joseph Tho:�as Jelinslti,
The I3oard accepted the bid of the I;Tidrrest Fire and Sa£ety Equip:nent '
Company for fire hose, it being, in the Board� s opinion, the loi^rest and
best bid received.
Thaddeus Zmudzinski, having passed the physical exariinations given
by the City Doctor and the Doctor appointed by the Firenen� s Yension �und
Trustees, tivas assigned to dut� on_ ?,tarch 1, 1947 as a probationAry iirer.man
for a period oP six months. The Board confirr.ied this. �ppointment.

Streets on June 21� 1947.
