La SaLle Avenue sewer ordered released. by the Board. Partial estimate allowed `Williston Construction Company on Werner Street and Car roil Street asphaltic concrete pavement, at Pet it ion for a light on, Fisher Stet betireen Laurel Street and Chapin Street received read and referred to Bean-ing for report. Mr. D. C..Layton, 'St. Commissioner instructed to draw up a letter with all the facts about the crematory condition and submit same to the Board so that :fist �b this matter can be taken up with the Common Counc it .. Chief Sibrel,, Nelson Ryser and Harry E. Joseph, Clerk of the .Safety Beard appeared before the Board in -regard to the repairs on the fire stations. The Board` authorized the Chief of the Fire Department to have the necessary repairs made to the differaant fire stations, the work to be dome either by ampisyees of the Various fir* stations or outside contractor , same left to the r iscret ion• of the Fire Chief, who is to have supverision and control and the bills to be rendered to -the Bo&lid of Public Works for payment. The Board granted an extension of time to of sixty (60) days in which to complete the Studebaker Street pavement contract by Williston Constr. Cos Attorney S. Pettingill appeared. before the Board with Mr. Gatilmon in regard to ' The George Cutter: Ctapany blocking D iv is,ion Street with, freight cars on Div is ion Street. No action taken on same. The Board granted the Western Construction Company an extension of ninety (90) days in which to complete pavement improvement an Birdsall Street. Also granted the White Construction Company an ex' ensign of -Ninety (90) days in which to compLets pavement improvement on Lincoln Way West and Olive Street pavement improve ment. 4 I Iu regard to the final award of contract on Van Buren Street and Eddy Street, this matter was deferred until Tuesday October nth. ,1919 at 10: 00 A.M. i I The Board ordered that a n4ice be sent to *the City Bl�mbing that he is net to issue permits to plumbers to co act to new sewer and the sewers will have to be accepted by the Board of Public W rks and the City first. The Board instructed the Street Commissioner to place guard rails 6X 6.al*ng the walk across the Hydraulic Avenue Bridge ever the'Esst Rae*, the full length of the bridge on the north side. The Board took up the mat or of painting of bridges and railings with D. C. Layton, Street Commissioner. The following final award# were approved by the Board.
