Murdock appeared before the Board and explained the following peitition filed in
the Superior Court against the Blackstone Thestre!Corporation, Charles Edwarr.� Potts
and Jacob Handlesman.

STD JOSEPH COUNTY TO THE HONORABLE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS
OF THE CITY OF SOM BEND4. INDIANA.
Whereas, W. D. Teeple, building Commissioner,did on the 26th.
day of June Whereas,
at about 4: 00 *'clock P,M, servo a not ice on the undersigned
tonneUts of the Nuilding at 216-218 South Michiph Street in the City of South
Bend, -Indiana, together with the notice directed to the Black, a Theatre
Corporation, copies of which notices are filed herewith and made hereof.
Now, Therefore, the undersigned due hereby pray and appeal under
Section 1296 of the building Code of the City of South Bend, from the orders of the
building Commissioner to your honorable Board and they hereby represent to your
honorable Board that said building is not in a dangerous conditionand that no
part of said building should be removed or destroyed.

The following notice was approved by the Board and the Clark of
the Board was Instructed to send a certified copy of this order to W. D. Teeple
C ommiss ioner of Buildings and he was to have notices served on owners of the above
mentioned building by police,

In the matter of the Cond4ftation order leaned by the Building
Commissioner on the 26th. , day of June '1919 and revised June 28th., 1919 d iroeted
to the Blackstone Theatre Corporations,from which order an appeal was filed an
behalf of Floyd L. Bunch and A. C. Murdock with this Board, it was ordered by the
Board of Public Works this 30th.0 day of June 1919 that that portion of the build-
Ing commonly known as 216 South Michigan -Street, South Bend, Indiana described
as follows: -
That portion of the north va11 ing from the wrest line of the
alley, running north and south, to the east line the first alley running north
and south being the east wall Of the court shall b repaired,, torn down or removed
At once by the owners of said Building. 7
