Liberty Tower Improvements

On October 4, 2018, the Board of Public Works opened and read bids for the above project.
There was one bidder for Division A, no bidders for Division B, one bidder for Division C, and two
bidders for Division D.
The bidders were as follows:

The Division of Engineering has reviewed all the bids and recommends that the Board reject alll
bids. The bids are more than the project budget. The project scope will be adjusted and re -
advertised at a later date.
Gibson -Lewis did not submit the required attachments as required by the Responsible Bidder
Ordinance., Brown and Brown's bid for Division D did not have a verification letter and their
base bid for Division D was $256,,328 when the actual sum of their line items was $260,308.88.
Rieth-Riley also listed the sum of the base bid Division D with Alternate D1 in their alternate
total ($203,47'6.50) rather than listing their base bid ($193,17&50) and their
alternate total ($10,31010) separately. The bid tabulation is attached.
