A RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION
INDICATING ITS INTENTION TO TRANSFER CERTAIN REAL ESTATE
TO THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY
WHEREAS, the South Bend Redevelopment Commission owns certain
parcels of real estate in those portions of the South Bend Central
Development Area generally known as the East Bank area and the Monroe
Park area, which parcels are more fully described in Exhibits A, B, C
and D attached hereto and made a part hereof; and
WHEREAS, the parcels are in need of improvement and the structure
on one of the parcels is in need of demolition; and
WHEREAS, the Commission lacks the necessary funds to perform the
improvement and demolition; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to I.C. 36 -7- 14.5 -19, the South Bend
Redevelopment Authority is authorized to issue bonds in order to
finance public improvements as set forth in I.C. 36 -7- 14.5 -11; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to I.C. 36- 7 -14 -22 and I.C. 36 -7- 14.5 -18, the
Commission may transfer property to the Redevelopment Authority for
improvements by the Authority consistent with the purposes set forth
in I.C. 36 -7 -14.5; and
WHEREAS, the Commission desires to transfer said property to the
Authority for such improvement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the South Bend Redevelopment
Commission as follows:
The parcels of land within those portions of the South Bend
Central Development Area commonly known as the East Bank area and the
Monroe Park area, which parcels are more completely described in
Exhibits A, B, C and D attached hereto and incorporated herein, shall
be transferred to the South Bend Redevelopment Authority pursuant to
and consistent with the purposes set forth in I.C. 36 -7 -14.5.
The President or the Vice - President and the Secretary of the
Commission are the proper parties to execute the deeds transferring
the parcels.
Adopted at a meeting of the South Bend Redevelopment Commission
held on May 11, 1990 at the office of the Commission, 1200
County -City Building, 227 West Jefferson Boulevard, South Bend,
Indiana 46601.

EAST BANK AREA
That part of the Northwest Quarter of Section 12,
Township 37 North, Range 2 East and that part of
Lots Seven (7), Eight (8), and Nine (9) in the
Original Plat of the Town of Lowell, now a part of
the City of South Bend as recorded in the records
of St. Joseph County, Indiana, which is described
as:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the
North line of Colfax Avenue and the West line of
Sycamore Street; thence, North along said West
line a distance of 10 feet; thence West (assumed
bearing) along a line 10 feet North and parallel
to the North line of Colfax Avenue, a distance of
100 feet; thence Northwesterly along a line 10
feet, more or less, Easterly of the Easterly Bank
of the St. Joseph River a distance of 89 feet;
thence West along a projected line perpendicular
