The attached resolution concerns the acceptance of one property in the South Bend
Central Development Area — 628 Rush Street — by the Redevelopment Commission
from the Redevelopment Authority so that it might be sold by the Redevelopment
Commission to a private individual as an owner - occupied home (it is currently part of
the Monroe Park Neighborhood properties managed by the HDC)
On December 21, 2011 the Redevelopment Authority passed Resolution 175, which
transferred this property to the Redevelopment Commission pending its acceptance.
This property has already been put through the disposition process and can be sold
pending approval of this resolution.

RESOLUTION NO. 2995
A RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION
ACCEPTING THE TRANSFER OF REAL PROPERTY
FROM THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY
WHEREAS, the South Bend Redevelopment Authority (the "Authority ") is the owner of
certain property identified herein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to I.C. 36- 1 -11 -8, the Authority, may transfer or exchange property
with another governmental entity upon terms and conditions agreed upon by the two (2) entities as
evidenced by the adoption of substantially identical resolutions of each entity; and
WHEREAS, the South Bend Redevelopment Commission (the "Commission "), the
governing body of the South Bend, Indiana, Department of Redevelopment (the "Department ") and
of the Redevelopment District of the City of South Bend, Indiana (the "Redevelopment District "),
exists and operates under the provisions of I.C. 36 -7 -14, as amended from time to time (the "Act ")
and is a body corporate and politic; and
WHEREAS, the Department, by and through the Commission, has presented to the
Authority, a request for the transfer to the Commission of certain real property previously acquired
by the Authority as follows:
628 Rush Street, as more particularly described in EXHIBIT A
(referred to as the "Property"); and
WHEREAS, the Authority, desires to transfer the Property to the Commission for the
redevelopment purposes of the Commission; and
WHEREAS, on December 21, 2011, the Authority has adopted a resolution consistent with
the requirement of Indiana § 36- 1 -11 -8.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT
COMMISSION AS FOLLOWS:
1. The transfer of the following described real property situated in St. Joseph County,
Indiana:
628 Rush Street, as more particularly described in EXHIBITA
by the Authority to the Commission, without consideration, shall be, and hereby is, approved and
authorized.
2. The Director of Redevelopment for the City of South Bend shall cause the recording
of the quitclaim deed conveying all of the right, title and interest of the South Bend Redevelopment
Authority in and to the Property to the City of South Bend, for the use and benefit of its Department
of Redevelopment.
3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect upon its adoption.
ADOPTED at a meeting of the South Bend Redevelopment Commission held on January 3,
2012, at 1308 County -City Building, 227 West Jefferson Boulevard, South Bend, Indiana 46601.

SCHEDULE A
A part of Lot Lettered "G" as shown on the recorded Replat and Resurvey of Rush's Third Addition to the City of
South Bend, in St. Joseph County, Indiana, as per plat thereof, recorded April 23, 1891 in Plat Book 5, page 61,
which part is bounded by a line running as follows, viz: Beginning at the Southwest corner of said Lot "G "; thence
running North on the West line thereof, a distance of 41 feet; thence East, 51 feet; thence South, 41 feet to the
South line of said Lot; thence West, 51 feet to the place of beginning.
