Board met in regular session at 7:15 P.M. All members present.
Hearing had an Improvement Resolution No. 1086 for the Pipe
sewer on No. Main'Street from Madison Street to Navarre Street, in the City of
South Bend, Indiana.
In the above matter F. J. Vurpiliat, D. M. Gemberling, J._Klingel
Miss Neilsong Warde L. Mack and -Mr. MaG®wsn interested property ownersappeared
but no written remonstrance was,,filed. The Board being fully advised in the
premises, decides that,the benefits to._property•.liable-to be assodsed for said
improvement are equal to the estimated cost of the same, as reported by the City
Civil Engineer, and thereupon takes final action en said resolution as originally
adopted and the same is hereby in all things, ratified, confirmed and approved.
Resolved further, that notices be published on the 2 6th. day of
January 1923 and on the 2nd.- day of February 192R-in the South Bend News Times and
Tribune, andon the 31st. day of January 1923 in the Indianapolis Staar, Indianapob
Indiana, stating that this Board will receive bids for the construction of said
improvement up to 10:00 A.M. Tuesday February 13th., 1923. The Board reserves
the right to reject any andall bids.
Hearing had an assessment roll and final -estimate for pipe sewer
on Calvert Street and Kendall Street from Chapin Street to Ewing Avenue, under,
Improvement Resolution No. 1027. In the City of South Bend, Indiana.
In the above matter no remenstrastors appeared and no written
remonstrance was filed. The Board therefore find that the property assessed in
said cell filed December 20th., 1921 is benef-itted in the amount of assessments
as shonw on said roll, and the Board further find that the assessment roll filed
December 20th.,, 1922 should.be,and the sate are hereby in all things ratified$
confirmed and approved.
Hearing had on assessment roll and final estimate for pipe sewer
on alley west of Scott Street from Colfax Avenue to La Salle Avenue, under Improve
went Resolution No. 1057. In the City of South Bend; Indiana.
In the above matter nw-remonstraters appeared and no written
remonstrance was filed. The Board therefore find that the property assessed in
said roll filet December 20th., 1922 is benefited in the.amount of such assess-
ments as shown on said roll, and the Board further find that the assessment roll
filed December 20th., 1�22 and the final estimate allowed.Desember 20th.,1922
should be and the same are hereby in all things, ritified,yconfirmed and approved.
Hearing had on assessment roll and final estimate for pipe sewer
on Woodward Avenue from Angella Avenue to Hudson Avenue, under Improvement
Resolution No. 1069. In the City of South Bend, Indiana.
In the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no written
remonstrance was filed., The Board therefore find that the proper;Ly $ssessed in
said roll filed December 26th., 1922 is benefited ip the amount of assessments
as shown on said roll and the Board further find that the assessments roil filed
December 26th., 1922 and the final estivate allowed Dee. 26th., 1922'should be and
the same is hereby in all things, ratified, confirmed and approved,.
Hearing had on Vacation Resolution No,.-70 for the Vacation of
a chango'in Location of Part of Rose Street in Portage Heights Addition, in the
City of South Bend, Indiana.-

In the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no written
remonstrance was filed., The Board therefore sustain all former action taken on
said resolution and declare the above descrUdd property in all things vae&ted-t,
and this resolution in'all -things, ratified, eanfirmd and approved.
And the Board new orders that a list or roll be prepared of all
owners or holders of property and of valuable interests therein sought to be taken
or to be injuriously affected which list or roll shall also describe the property
beneficially affected.

to City -Limits. Placed on file until after February 1st., 1923.
Inspector reports on complaint about guywire, across driveway at 1.622
So. Carroll St. as follows:-
�his is a buy wire and pole and anchor belongs to the
Indiana & Michigan Elea. Co. and should be moved about 15 ft. to the south to property
line.
Clerk instructed to notify.R. R. Smith, Pre:s. & Mggr. of the Chicago,
South Bend & Northern: Indiana Railway Company to appeare,before the Bard on Tuesday
January 23rd.', 1923 at 10:00 A.M. as the matter of 61iminating poles and improving
of Lincoln Way East, will be discussed.
Also notice to be sent; to the Postal Telegraph Company to place their
wire underground on Lincoln Way East from Sample Street in toward the business district,
as this street will-b-e widened and paved in the near future
