HomeMy WebLinkAbout1/17/1923 Board of Public Works Minutesa Board met in regular session at 7 15 P.M. All members present. Hearing had on Improvement Resolution No. 1086 for the Pipe sewer an No. Main'Street from Madison Street to Navarre Street, in the City of South Bend, Indiana. In the above matter F. J. Vurpiliat, D. M. Gemberling, J. Klingel Miss Neilson, Warde L. Mack and -Mr. M-cG®wftn interested property owners appeared but no written remonstrance was filed. The Board being fully advised in the premises, deeides that the benefits to property liable to be assodsed for said improvement are equal to the estimated Kcost of the same, as reported by the City Civil Engineer, and thereupon takes final action kn said resolution as originally dopted and the same is hereby in all things, ratified, confirmed and approved. Resolved further, that notices be published on the 2 6th. day of January 1923 and on the 2nd. day of February 192V -in the South Bend News Times and Tribune, andon the 31st. day of January 1923 in the Indianapolis Star, Indianapob Indiana, stating that this Board will receive bids for the construction of said improvement up to 10:00 A.M. Tuesday February 13th., 1923. The Board reserves the right to reject any andall bids. Hearing had on assessment roll and final estimate for pipe seA*r on Calvert Street and Kendall Street from Chapin Street to Ewing Avenue, under, Improvement Resolution No. 1027. In the City of South Bend, Indiana. In the above matter no romenstraotors appeared and no written remonstrance was filed. The Board therefore find that the property assessed in said roll filed December 20th., 192$ is benef-itted in the amount-o-f assessments as shonw on said roll, and the Board further find that the assessment roll filed December 20th.,, 1922 should be -and the same are hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved. Hearing had on assessment roll and final estimate for pipe sewer on alley west of Scott Street from Colfax Avenue to La Salle Avenue, under Improve ment Resolution No. 1057. In the City of South Bend; Indiana. In the above matter no -remonstrators appeared and no written - remonstrance was filed. The Board therefore find that the property assessed in said roll filet December 20th., 1922 is benefited in the amount of such assess- ments as shown on said roll, and the Board further find' that the assessment roll filed December 20th., 1�22 and the final estimate allowed- December 20th.91922 should be and the same are hereby in all things, rat,ified,yconfirmed and approved. In the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no written remonstrance was filed., The Board therefore find that the property assessed.in said roll filed December 26th., 1922 is benefited in the amount of assessments as shown on said roll and the Board further find that the assessments roll filed December 26th., 1922 and the final estimate allowed Dee. 26th.9 1922shouldbe and the same is hereby in all things, ratified, confirmed and approyet. Hearing had on Vacation Resolution No.. 70 for the Vacation of a change'in Location of Part of Rose Street in Portage Heights Addition, in the City of South Bend, Indiana.- , , In the,above matter no remonstrators appeared and no written remonstrance was filed., The Board therefore sustain all former action taken on said resolution and declare the above deserbbdd property in all things vacated:,, and this resolution inaall -things, ratified, confirmd and approved. And the Board now orders that a list or roll be prepared of all owners or holders of property and of valuable interests therein sought to be taken or to be injuriously affected which list or roll shall also describe the property beneficially affected.
