Mr. Wm. Moose Civil Engineer aPpeared before the Board with
revised plat of Sunnyside Mbnor showing curve in Ls Salle Avenue and the necessary
alley between McKinley Avenue and La Salle Avenue The Board advised Mr, Moore to
submit the proper number of blue prints at the next regular session of the Board and
this plat would be approved as submitted.

-` Board met in special session at 1:30 P.M. All members present.
Mr. Kaiser representing the Architects for the Studebaker
Corporation, appeared before the Board in regard to the placing of a tunnel across
Lafayette Street and requesting permission to close Lafayette Street fora period,
of time during the construction of said tunnel. Mr. Kaiser was advised to submit
Xis proposition in writing with an agreement in regard to underground construction,

Mayor E. F. Seebirt present.
The matter of obstructions such as oil and gasoline pumps on' City
property was discussed. The Board orderad the following communfoat;ion sent"to
Fire Chief I. Sibrel
Whereas;when tanks are to be placed in street, and alley, lawns,
curbs, sidewalks or any other city property a permit,shoulld be first secured from
the Board of Public Wvkks.
The Board does not favor the use of lawns for driveways on Lincoln
Way West near the corner of Olive Street, because it believeq the service pipes
should be removed from=the lawnsand placed on private property. This is -a
dangerous place for autos to stop at the end of car track on, Lincoln Way West.
