The Board advised that after a trip of investigation test this alley should.not be vacated but ordered that a petition be filed for the opening of an alley at this place to frill wi6tk* Partial estimate allowed -for grade, cubb and walk on Eckman Street from Michigan, Street to Vandalia 1veR. a Lo H. The Board instructed the Clerk to xotifiy the,Chicago, Lake Shore and South Bead Railway Company to remove trolley poles along the line of.th the improvement of Le Salle Avenue by Friday September 22nd. 1922 or same would be removed by the City at their expense. The following resolution was received, read and placed on file. R E S O L U T I O N. Be It Resolved by the Common. Council of the -City of South Bend, that we hereby object and protest against the use of the Council Chambers for the hearing of trials by the City Court and that we hereby request the Board of Public Works to prohibit the use of such Council Chambers for any and all trials by said City Court, and be it resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented by the City Clerk to the Board of Public Works of said City.
