Floors and Shelves COMPARTMENT FLOOR AND SHELF COVERING All compartment floors and shelves shall have a black Dri-Deck installed. MODULE INTERIOR Interior Cabinets - Duralite Construction Wood -CN 10 Compliant INTERIOR SURFACES 10083-0016 08/27/18 47 10083-0016 CITY OF SOUTH BEND All vertical edges of cabinets shall be of an aluminum extrusion with a a/4 inch radius designed to free the interior of the patient's compartment of all sharp edges or projections. The face and inside of the cabinets shall be covered by a commercial grade laminate and adhered to the cabinet face by a high quality poly vinyl adhesive using a thermal press application. The wood, adhesive and laminate shall be pressed together at 200 degrees for four minutes in a thermal platen press. There shall be no voids of the adhesive between the laminate and the cabinet surfaces. 1►1_ 410% I II iL�II II[���1 The interior cabinets, squad bench assembly, shelves and doors shall be constructed of marine grade plywood; due to the product's ability to be customized to fulfill the needs of this agency, the additional acoustical and thermal insulation properties, repair ability, and the safety factor of not producing sharp fragments or shards in the event of a serious collision. The thickness of the finished panels used to construct the cabinets, shelves and doors shall be 3/4 inches including mica, adhesive, and glue. Any construction materials that provides anything less that 3/4 inch panels in cabinet construction is not acceptable to this agency. The squad bench lid shall be attached to the squad bench assembly via a stainless steel piano hinge the entire length of the bench. The squad bench shall be equipped with a locking device to automatically secure the lid upon closing. The patient compartment wall panel (behind the squad bench) and the cab compartment wall panel shall be constructed of 1/4 inch plywood and covered with color coordinating high pressure laminate. The cabinets shall be constructed using 8 min dowels placed no farther than 32 min apart. The dowels shall be a hardwood and pre -glued. The doors on the upper cabinets shall be surface mounted with European hinges and 3mm edge banding. The doors on the center and lower cabinets shall be flush mounted using continuous stainless steel piano hinge and a 3 min edge banding. All doors and cabinet openings shall be covered with a 3 mm edge banding with radius edges. INTERIOR STOWAGE ACCOMMODATIONS The interior of the patient compartment shall provide but not be limited to a minimum volume of thirty cubic feet of enclosed cabinets. Interior cabinet, shelf and compartment space shall be conveniently located for medical supplies, devices or other equipment. All interior cabinets shall be fully lined inside with high-pressure plastic laminate. The equipment and supplies necessary for airway 08/27/18 48 CITY OF SOUTH BEND management shall be within easy reach of the medic at the head of the stretcher. Interior cabinet dimensions are as described. Mica, Dove Gray Over Brittany Blue INTERIOR SURFACES The upper two-thirds of the cabinets shall be gray and the lower third shall be Brittany blue. Flooring, Wood, Type 31719, Std FLOOR A top floor of seven ply three quarter inch marine grade plywood, sanded both sides with no voids, shall be installed over the moisture barrier. The plywood shall be marine resin coated prior to installation to prevent warping due to ambient moisture absorption. The plywood floor shall be one piece from the bulkhead to the rear doors between the patient door steeple and squad bench and extend under the street side cabinets. The plywood floor shall be securely anchored to the floor sub structure with one quarter inch UNF machine by two and one half inch screws. Flooring, Lonplate II,Gunmetal Grey #424, Std Model only FLOOR COVERINGS The patient compartment floor covering shall be a heavy duty material that is impervious to fluids. The flooring shall be glued to the plywood floor using an adhesive compound. The flooring shall be Lonplate II and the color Gunpowder Gray #424. There shall be no adhesive voids between the flooring and the plywood. The floor shall be designed to roll up the side of the street side and bulk head cabinets and squad bench. Seat Attendant: Valor Gunmetal ATTENDANT SEAT A USSC Valor rear facing, R-Back attendant seat with an integrated child seat installed at the head of the patient cot. The attendant seat shall be a two (2) position swivel seat mounted on a pedestal base with a heavy duty seat frame for an ABTS (All Belts to Seat) application with four (4) point/four (4) retractors single click internal mount belt system. Upholstered cushions shall be a minimum of thirty two ounce nylon reinforced commercial vinyl material. Squad bench cushions and attendant seat and backrest cushions shall be fabricated in such a manner to eliminate exposed welting. Cushions with welting or beaded seams shall not be accepted due to the risk of bio fluid penetration. Describe below your method of cushion construction. The color of the upholstery shall be gunmetal gray. Upholstery, Bench Side. Upholstery, CPR Seat, Backrest, Valor, Gunmetal A CPR seat shall be installed on the street side of the patient compartment aft of the main action area counter. The CPR seat shall be KKK-A-1822 Change Notice 8 compliant with VALOR A- VAL shelf mount back frame and internal bolsters. The seat shall consist of a four (4) point/four (4) retractors single click internal mount belt system. Cabinet BH Frtlnr, Non»WT EMS- FIR MAV W172"HR BULKHEAD CABINET A bulkhead cabinet shall separate the cab from the patient compartment. There shall be a window in the bulkhead for visual checking and voice communications between the cab and the patient compartment. The window shall be at least 150 square inches. The window shall be an adjustable, transparent, and shatterproof panel. Lexan Flap WlHincie INTERIOR OXYGEN VIEWING DOOR A Lexan door shall be installed on the oxygen viewing opening. Door, Single Wood, Hinged Right, RF Cab RIGHT FRONT CABINET DOORS The right front cabinet shall have a single wood door hinged on the right side of the cabinet. The door shall be manufactured from 3/4 inch marine grade plywood and be covered in color coordinated high pressure laminate. The door shall be mounted flush with the cabinet opening. Full height cabinet behind attendant's seat for circuit board and electrical devices Squad Bench 160/170 EMS MAV Bio-Waste O.Head SQUAD BENCH CABINET The squad bench cabinet shall be located on the curb side of the patient compartment over the rear wheel well. The squad bench shall be a minimum of 72 inches long and be constructed of three quarter inch birch. The lid shall be attached to the squad bench assembly via a stainless steel piano hinge the entire length of the bench. The hinge shall attach with fasteners in a vertical position through the face of the lid and not through the edge of the cabinet and lid. The squad bench shall be equipped with a locking device to automatically secure the lid upon closing. The squad bench shall be furnished with two sets of 6 Point safety belts for seated occupants and three Two point belts for the retention of a cot when positioned on the squad bench. The anchorages for the side facing seat belt assembly shall withstand a minimum of 2,500 pounds force when tested in accordance with FMVSS 210-S5.1. A full length cushion shall be installed on the squad bench lid and on the wall as a back rest. The interior of the squad bench shall provide storage the full length of the bench. At the head of the squad bench shall be a built in trash disposal area. A trash can shall be accessible under a red flip up lid, and a sharpes container's circular opening shall be accessible through a 08/27/18 51 CITY OF SOUTH BEND round cutout in the squad bench lid. Both the trash can and the sharpes container may be removed from the squad bench by lifting up a sectioned portion of the squad bench lid. The latch shall hold the lid secure during transit and shall not open unless the handle is lifted. It shall be the middle lower cabinet just below telemetry area -rear of CPR seat and shall be 14.25 inches high, 20.25 inches wide, and 19.50 inches deep. It will have a hinged door. Size: 14.25h X 20.25w X 19.50d CPR, side seat, std CPR SIDE SEAT A CPR side seat shall be located just above the rear street side wheel well. Seamless upholstered cushions shall be located on the bottom and rear wall of the seat area. Cushions shall also be located above the head area for safety. CPR, side seat, flip up lid. Standard Model Only CPR SEAT STORAGE A small storage area shall be located under the CPR seat and just above the wheel well. The storage shall be accessed by lifting a lid which holds the bottom seat cushion. J, Cabinet, 72" H.R. STREETSIDE REAR UPPER CABINET Cabinet "J" shall be located on the street side of the patient compartment. It shall be the rear upper cabinet and shall be 18.75 inches high and 25.00 inches wide, and 19.50 inches deep. It will have a sliding, restocking style door. K. Cabinet, 72" H.R. STREETSIDE UPPER CABINET Cabinet "K" shall be located on the street side of the patient compartment. It shall be the rear upper cabinet near the CPR seat and shall be 18.75 inches high and 19.00 inches wide, and 14.00 inches deep. It will have a sliding, restocking style door. 10083-0016 08/27/18 53 10083-0016 CITY OF SOUTH BEND K2, Cabinet, std, wl CPR seat STREETSIDE CPR SEAT UPPER CABINET Cabinet "K2" shall be located on the street side of the patient compartment. It shall be the rear upper cabinet over the CPR seat and shall be 6.75 inches high and 25.00 inches wide, and 7.00 inches deep. It will have a hinge -up style door. L. Cabinet, L1, L2, L3, std, 72" H.R. STREETSIDE FORWARD UPPER CABINET Cabinet " L" shall be located on the street side of the patient compartment. It shall be the forward upper cabinet just above the action area. The cabinet shall be divided into two separate cabinets "L1, "L2 ". Cabinet "Ll" shall be 18.75 inches high, 13.50 inches wide, and 17.25 inches deep. Cabinets "L2" shall be equal in size 18 inches high, 24.50 inches wide and 17.25 inches deep. It will have a sliding -restocking style door. BASBWALL DOORS: CABINET DOORS AND FRAMES The cabinets shall have doors that follow the the standards of SAE J3058 Ambulance Interior Storage Compartment Integrity. The sliding cabinet doors shall be framed with a T6- 6063 aluminum frame with specially designed negative angled grooves for the spring latched handles to grip onto for latching. The corners of the frames shall be double keyed for stability and strength. The frame shall be gasketed to prevent intrusion of liquids into the cabinets. The sliding doors shall be made of 1/4" polycarbonate in either a clear, grey or bronze finish as specified by the end user. The tail end of the doors shall have a T6-6063 aluminum stiffener that interlocks with the mating door to give additional strength against impact. The leading handle shall be spring loaded to give a self latching function with the door frame groove to prevent the doors from inadvertantly coming open. If the end user chooses to have the restocking feature, the frame will be hinged in a minimum of two locations and a seperate spring steel handle assembly shall be attached to the bottom of the cabinet to lock the frame in place when shut. This handle for unlatching and opening the restocking feature shall be accomplished without opening the sliding doors, from the outside of the cabinet. 08/27/18 54 10083-0016 CITY OF SOUTH BEND Cab H Gray Polycarbonite Slider- CN 10 Compliant CABINET "H" DOOR The door to cabinet "H" shall be a gray polycarbonate slider. Restocking Feature,,(I) cabinet 2 Gas Strut 20lbs ILOS RESTOCKING FEATURE The restocking feature on this cabinet shall allow for the aluminum plexiglass frame to lift up for easy restocking of the cabinet. The frame shall lift open hinging at the top and be kept open by two 20 pound pneumatic pistons. The pistons shall keep the frame in the open position to allow for restocking. The frame shall latch when in the closed position with a positive mechanical latch. Telemetry Tray, Poured, Gray The top of the telemetry cabinet shall provide a clean work area. The countertop shall be one piece with a one inch lip around the tray. The tray shall be manufactured from molded polyester resin to provide a seamless countertop. The tray shall be topped with a durable top coat of gray gel coat. The countertop shall be one piece with a one inch lip around the tray. The tray shall be manufactured from molded polyester resin to provide a seamless countertop. The tray shall be topped with a durable top coat of gray gel coat. The following parts or components of the patient compartment cabinets of the Wheeied Coach, vehicle will remain free from defects in material and workmanship: That the wood or non -wood material used for the construction of the cabinets shall not delaminate, That the wooden dowels used for the construction of the cabinets shall not allow the cabinet sections to separate, This Cabinet Construction Warranty commences upon the expiration of the original Rev twelve (12) months standard conversion vehicle warranty and continues for the lifetime of the vehicle for the odginal owner on the original chassis. For the purpose of the Limited Lifetime Cabinet Construction Warranty, a lifetime is defined by Rev as; 10 years from the expiration of the original Rev twelve (12) months standard conversion vehicle warranty for only the only original retait purchaser/owner. This warranty is valid only in the United States and Canada, and any vehicle sold for use outside of the United States and Canada is sold "AS IS. If the owner discovers within this period a defect in the workmanship or material of any of the conditions listed above, it must promptly notify Rev in writing. This is due to the requirement for 180-day delivery and the associated damages. There are no readily available chassis that meet the City's requirements. These must be special ordered. 2019 model year is sold out. The next build cycle is for the 2020 models should be starting in early January 2019. The Freightliner chassis will take at least 210 days to arrive. This is dependent on how many orders are placed ahead of us. Fire Service nor Wheeled Coach/REV can be held liable for late delivery damages stemming from chassis being unavailable. Page 15 1.18: Post Paint Inspection: We are taking exception to this, as our build cycle moves too rapidly to allow for realistic travel arrangements to be made. We would also need to travel with less than 3 days notice. Plus, the paint is not ready to be inspected until the final inspection for delivery. As the paint has not completely cured until then and will not be completely set in color and finish. CLARIFICATIONS: Page 31 5.1: Stop, Tail, Turn and back-up lights: We are offering an alternate to the M6 Tail Light set. It is a Wheeled Coach/Whelen tail light set. It incorporated a 9x7 Brake/Tail light, which is 6 times the light area of the M6. A 3x7 Turn Arrow and a 30 reverse lamp, all in a single housing. This design will improve the amount of brake lighting and we feel it is the safest tail light set available. Should you desire to get the M6 set, it will be an upcharge of $300,00. Modular Body Drop Test To validate the design, materials, manufacturing processes and workmanship of our modular body, a body drop from 120 feet was conducted. The impact force on, the body's front corner was 30 G and the energy transfer was 105,000 lbs. Internal and External Weld Inspections Our Quality Control weld inspectors are Level 2, AS certified. Each day they inspect our weld quality to this rigorous standard. In addition to internal training and testing, an independent 3rd Party Inspection Service routinely audits our welding processes and qualify. Ambulance Side Impact Crash Test Insurance Institute for Highway Safety Crash Test Protocol Version V has been conducted. In a status report issued on January 6, 2001, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) reported the following: Almost 10,00O occupant deaths occur each year in side impact crashes. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety Side Impact Crashworthiness Evaluation protocol was used as a guideline, Procedure SAE J17331, Sign Convention for Vehicle Crash Testing, was followed during the test. The side impact test was setup with the bullet vehicle's centerline aligned with the fore -aft cg location of the target vehicle. The bullet vehicle was propelled to speed with a trolley and then released, allowing the bullet vehicle to roll and impact the curb side of the target vehicle. Speed of the bullet vehicle was measured just prior to impact using a dual -beam laser speed trap. A thin rod was placed on the bullet vehicle's bumper so that an lidentifying puncture in the target vehicle would provide post-test evidence to determine the actual impact point. Prior to the test, all fluids were removed from the vehicles. The air conditioning fluid was recovered from each vehicle per EPA requirements. 30.4 gallons (80% capacity) of water was added to the fuel tank of the target vehicle. Vehicle test weights include all dummies, all onboard imagers and lighting, all data acquisition equipment, and any other accessory equipment that was installed prior to conducting the test.
