'. P. Butler and D. Nye appeared before the Board and took up
the matter of moving,df gAsolirie pump off of La Salle Avenue at the corner of
Main Street onto Main Street in,front of store occupied by Holycross and Nye,
the reason for this was on account of the Widening of La Salle Avenue. The Board
advised these parties that they would investigate this matter after this morning's
session.
Complaint about pole. in the way of rounding off Street corner
at Omple Street and Prairie Avenue. Board ordered same removed.
Permission granted the Indiana Bell Co. to set one anchor
to guy underground pole in alley between Dubail Avenue and Dayton Street, Michigan
Street and'St. Joseph Street approved.
Communication received from R. F. Raush officer manager d'f
the South Bend Stationery Mfg. Co. in regard to weeds in street at North Anthony
Street between Linden Avenue and Kaley Street. Referred to the Street Commission&
improvements.

Gentlemen:-
Having.investigated the location of thee cement shed at the cor. of
Michigan and Monroe Sts. Hay Weaver Co. Contractors, agree that it does create a
dangerous corner,,and have notified them to move same west on Monroe Street near
alley as suggested, which they agree to do not later than the first of the coming
week, as the shed,is full of cement at this time.

This Agreement, Made and entered into this 17th. day of August 1922
by and between Hoban & Roach of the County of St. Joseph and State of Indiana,
(hereinafter referred to as the " Contractor"), and the City of South Bend, in the
Country of St. Joseph, and State of'Indiana, by and through its Board of Public Works
(hereinafter referred to as the " City"), under and by virtue of an Act of the
General Assembly of the State of Indiana, entitled " An Act, Concerning Municipal
Zorporations, " approved March 69 905, and all amendatory and supplemental acts

Witnesseth, that the contractor covenants and agrees to construct
pavement on the alley between Riverside Drive and Wood Ward Avenue from Golden
Avenue to Vassar Avenue in the City of South Bend, Indiana at and for the following

assignee, successor or .subcontractor ; ai.d the city may reserve out of any allowance made on any estimate
in favol--of the contractor or h,s assigns, or out of the amount due him or his assigns upon the completion

Resolution No. 926. In the City of South Bend, Indiana.
Resolved that the entire work under the above resolution and the
contract let, thereunder be in all things accepted end approved that said final estimate
be allowed.
Resolved that, said notices in form required by lava be published on
the 23rd. day of August 1922 and on the 30th, day of August in the South Bend News Times
and Tribune newspapers of general circulation in this City setting and fixing the
13th. day of September 1922 at the office of the Board in the City Hall, South Bend,
Indiana as the -time and place when this Board will receive and hear remonstrances against,
the amounts of assessed against each of the lots and parcels of land on said siley
roll and will hear and determine whether such lots and parcels of land Will be specially
benefitted by said emprovement by the amounts stated and set, forth in said roll,
Communication received from Health Board with petition for
pipe sewer on Adams Streets from Par allel Street to Linden Avenue. Upon advise from
the City Engineer the Board instructed the Clerk to notify the Health Department to

Bend, St. Joseah County, State of Indiana, that it is desired and deemed necessary
to improve Alley East of St. Peter Street from Jefferson Boulevard to the first
alley north of Jefferson Boulevard as follows, to-wi:..
Said alley shall be graded an the roadway thereof shall be paved;
also the roadway of certain portions of the streets and alleys which enter or in—
tersect said alley'shall be graded and paved. The paving; material to be Bused
in making; said improvement shall be Sheet Asphalt, Bitulithic, Asplaltic concrete
