discussed with the Chief.

were discussed with Mr. Cualls.
Mr. Qualls submitted a re�ort of the Police Radio for the month
of Oetober, a copy of which was ftirnished eacll member of the Board
and a cony placed on file.
POLICE DEPARTi�I�1T - Chief Lane gresent:
A communication in the form of a resolution was received Prom
the South Bend Industrial Union Council, requesting that before
condemning the action of the Chief o� Police and Arthur Cam.pbell,
�vith rePerence to th e -arrest of Nr. Burcham of the Bendix Local No. 9
A communication was received fron Dr. F. S. G. Penner, request-
ing a curb cut in front of his pl�ce of business. This matter tvas
rePerred to Traffic Eagineer j��iller for investigation and recor.�menda-
tion.
The Chief subm3.tted a report of the activities of the Police
Dep�rtment for the month of October, copy of which was placed on file
and a copy furnished esch menber of the Board.
The Traffic Department submitted a report of their activities
for the month of Detober, copy of which was furnished each member
oP the Board and a co�y placed on file.
Application for a. position on the Police Department was received
from Josenh J. ��iller, which was ordered placed on Pile.
Special Police �omnissions were apAroved for the following spec-
ial officers while employed at the Bendix Corporation.
Special Police Com�issions were approved for the following persons
while employed at the �liver Farm Equipment �ompany:- John J. Collins,
Harry D. Claudy, Harry Leo i,�ilews�i, . and Clement C. 'v�olfe.

ing 212 insgections made: This report is on fil� in the office of the
