POLZCE D�P��RT1iT��T - Chief Lane present:
The Chief reported that Paul Tnor�as whose Prob�tionery period
expires on Sept . 15th had cond.ucted himself in a manner warranting
his being pla.ced on the Police Department permanently. The Board . -
therefore ordered that this Officer be paid full sal�r•y o#' a patrol-`
� man beginning Sept. l6th.
City Traffic �ngineer Mi11er called attention to the conge�tion '
of traffic on the north side o#' LaSalle Avenue to l�7ichiga_n Stz�eet
east due to the South Shore street cars occupying thE rever�e side
of the street. He recommended th4t no parkin�; be permitted on the
north side of LaS�lle Avenue fror:i :ti�.ichi�an Street to the Ivest end o£
the bridge vrhich v�rould eliminate dou�le parki�g of trucks �rrho Vaould
� occupy the space for loading and unloadir.g. The Bourd eoncurred in
this report �nd ordered the curb painted accordir�gly.
