Chief Diedrich present: A com,munic.=_tion was received from Traffic Engir_eer Miller where he h�d_ made an investi�atien of a rea1uest for cuttin� back a curb on South Street from PJia.in Street to the alley east. For various reason� as sh�v�m by his report on file, he did not reconimend this. The Board concurred ,and the o�tiners of the property were notified. Traf'f'ic �,ngineer iy�iller reported that the She7_I Service St�tion �t the corner o�' Colfax anc Hill h�d painted the telephone poles be- tv:een the side�alk and curb orange and red, thereby diminishing the ef- ficiency of the stop si�n which is directly ir front of the pole and � reco?n:-nended that they be notified to paint the pole black or bro�vn. The Bo�r� cer�curred in this renort �nd gave instructions to notify the Shell Service Station to comply. � ��- ',; Applic�tion for a position on the F�e �epartment was filed by Lo�.vell H.
