The Board under regular mo- tion seconded and carried or�ered th«t �fficer n�mmer betaken from the payrolluntiZ such time as he presenta a certificate fram the �olice Physician that he is in satsifactory pi�ysical condition to continue his service as a police officer. The Clerk subraitted a report sho��.7ing the cost of operation of G11 Police cars and l�otorcycles, copy of which was flirnished � each member of the Baard and a copy placed on �'�le in the of�'ice of the Board of Public Safety. . � A car�lmunication v��as received from the City Clerk informing the Board that the Cammon Council, meeting as a Co��mittee af the tiyhole, on. February 7th moved tnat the City Clerk extend an invitation to Captain Ashworth to cor�e to South Bend at the request af the Common Council and the Board oP Public Safety to make an anelysis of the needs of the Police Department and submit reco�nrr,endations. The com- riunication was pl�ced on file. Application far position on the police Department v��as receive d fram Claudius F. Fie�ds and ordered placed on file.
