MEETING October 25�, 1937
Regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on
Monday, October 2�, 1937, at 9:00 A. �JI. Mr. Woodward was absent.
rdinutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
Requisitions in the Police Department numbers 898 to 907,
inclusive, were a proved. Claims, from the following suppliers,
in the amount oF �174.59 were approved and ordered paid, also
payroll in the various departments for the last half o� October
amounting to �19, 222.66.

Mr. �ualls reparted th� activities of his department during
the past v�reek.
POLIC� D�PARTMENT - Chief Lane present:
The Chief discussed with the Board matters pertaining to the
operation of the Police Department.
The Board authorized the purchase of a pair of trousers for
motorcycle officer poyal Rhymer, as his tvere ruined in a recent
accident.
Traffic Engineer Ernest +�iller reported on a request made, by
William E. Rassmussen f'or traffic control at Broadway and It�ain
Streets. Details of investigation are on file in the office of
the Board of Public Safety, and Mr. rJtiller recommended that a
police officer be stationed at this intersection evenings from
S:OO to 5: 30 olclock. The Board ordered that the Chief be requested �
to follow this recommendation and P�ir. Rassmussen be sent a copy of
Mr. Miller's report.
W'EIGHTS & N�ASURES D�PAR'I'MIIQT - 112r. Burns present:
l��r. Burns submitted his report of the operations of the
Weights & Measures Department for the week ending October 23rd,
sho�ving 251 inspections made. This report is on file in the o�'fice
of the Board of Public Safety.
