Regular meeting of the Board of Public Saf'ety v�as held on

Requisitions in the Fire Dep�rtment numbers 03844 to 03848 and
in the Police Department nuxnbers 856 to 864, inclusive, were ap�oroved.
Clair:is in tlie amount of �1 ,179.59, from the follov�ing suppl�.ers, ��Tere
approved and ordered paid, also pa;rroll o�' the various departments
for the last half of September axnounting �o �19,182.66 .

Richard J. Duck, havin� presented record of his physical
examinntion and recommendation by Thomas I3. Pauszek, Police Physician,
was ordered placed on the Fire Department begin�in� October lst.

Matters pert�inin� to the operation of the Electrical Department

POT ICE DEP�hTIvT�VT - Chief Lane present:
The C,hief reported to the Board that Officer A. V. Da_1;,�, whose
nrobation nPriod ends on October 15th, has conducted himself in a
credit�ble manner and he is recommended for a regular place on the
Police Force. The Board concurred in this report and ordered 'nim
placed on regular roll be�inning October 16th.
CitSr Traffic Engineer iY�iller recommended that the stop signs at
�'yilli2m and ��laaison Streets be changed -- the sto� sign at the north-
�yest corner on ;';i11i�L~� be removed and placed at the northeast corner
on i�Fadison, making ti'dilli�-�� Street a throu�h street at that inter-
section. The Board concurred in this and ordered the cha.nge made.

o�'ficer K. E. Koontz v,�as �pproved by tne Board.
