Requisitions in the Police Departrient nu�bers 555 to 566 �nd in the Fire Department numbers 03702 to 03705, inclusive, tivere approved. FIRE DEPAFcTP�:�VT - Chief Freeh present: The Chief recuested tne nrivilege of purchasin� four neva tires for tt��o of the Hose Houses equipment , which ti���ere authorized by the Bo ard. The Chief also reported leakage in the plur:ibing at Fire Station No. 7 vahich the Board gave instructions to repair. POLICE DEPARTMIlVT - Chief Lane present: Report of enforcement activities of tne Traffic Bureau was submitted to the Board and one copy furnished each member. This report is on file in the office o�' the Board of Public Safety. Officer Miller reported in regard to the Flack Cigar Compan.y's re��uest for a loading zone in front of their place of business and recomYmended that this reouest be not gr�nted, in which the Board concurred. 0�'ficer P�iiller reported in regard to the petition of the P.�irror Press an.d recommended that this limitation of parking be not grGnted, in v�hich the Board concurred. The Board instrueted that the I��hirror Press be notified, giving them �. full copy of the report. Of�'icer rtiller reported that at the intersection of Trvyckenhfim Dri�e and Mishatiti�aka �venue tele�hone poles were being painted to correspond ����ith colors of the Filling Stations that occup,y these corners 2nd recorrrlended that they be painted different color, so that si�s on the highway may be more di�cernible. The Boara concurred in this and directed that the occupants be notified accordingly. �pplication for position on the Police Department was received from J�mes k. Stevenson and ordered nlaced on file. Continuation certificates covering police bonds in favor o�' the follo�ving officers were an�roved by the Board: Levris C. Rourke, Floyd G. Zellers, Leo titiilli�ms, Edward G. Radecki, ti"lilliam Ortman, �Y�ichael Rzepka, and Byron J. Roe. Continuation certificates covering special police com�n.issions for the f'ollotiving v��ere zpproved by tne F3oard: Ivar Strombeck, Charles L. Anderson, Norman F. j'diese �nd George A.
