Concerning the improvment of the roadway of North Shore Drive fr- .
from Michigan St. to 150 ft.° west of Lafayette %treet and Laafayette Street from
North Shore Drive to first alley north in the City of South Bend., Indiana, with
asphalt, asphaltic concrete, bitulithic, brick, or emulsifted asphalt , in pursua,nc
to Resolution Ne. 997 this being the day set for the making of the preliminary
order°designating the kind of pavement, the Beard at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday July 25th.,
1922 publicly opened read and considered all bids, and then continued their meeting
to 10:00 A.M. this 26th. day of Juiry 1922.
Now on last named date the Board designated Asphaltic concrete
using Mexican Asphalt as the kind of pavement with which said,street is to be
improved and fixes the 7th. day of August 1922 at 10:00 A.M. as the time when petiti
petitions for changing t?le= rid of pzite e.nt must be .filed, and the Beard hereby
continues this matter until the 8th. A. of August 1922 at 10:00 A.M. and continued
sameuntil Wednesday August 9th., 1922 . On the day above named the Bord will eithe-r-
pass on petitions let said contract or reject all bids.

The following res®lutions were adapted by the Board.
STREET OR ALLEY IMPRNEmENT RESOLUTION NO. 1018.
Be It Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of Sout'
Bend, St. Joseph County, State of Indiana, that it is desired and, deemed necessary
to improve. City Hall Court from Michigan Street to the first alley west of Michig&A
Street. Also; The First alley west of Michigan Street from Colfax Avenue to
La Salle Avenue as follows* to -wit:- Said alleys shall be graded and the roadway
thereof shall be paved; Also the roadway of certain portions of the Streets aand
alleys which enter or intersect said alleys shall be graded and paved. The paving
material to be used.in making said improvement shall be Sheet Asphalt, bitulithic,
asphaltic concrete, brick or Portland cement concrete seven (7) inches thick,. and
the foundation shall be Portland cement concrete six (6) inchs thick for sheet
asphalt, bitulithic, asphaltic concrete and brick or rolled gravel six (6) inches
thick for the brick, storm water inlets and conduits shall be constructed where
necessary; all si&rm water inlets and manhole tops shall be set to the proper grade;
cement marginal curb shall be constructed at all -street and alley intersections where
necessary, all as is more particularly shown andall in accordance with the plans,
profiles, detail drawings and specifications on file in the Office of the deprtment
of Public Works of the City of Sauth Bend, Indiana.

COPY OF VACATION RESOLUTION No. 62-1922.
Resolved by the Board of Public Ple-iks of the City of South Bend,
Indiana: That it is desirable to vacate the following: Grace Street from a
point two hundred forty nine feet east of the east line of Arnold Street, to
the east end of said street, a distance of thirty-eight feet. Ford Street from
a point two hundred thirty-five feet east of the east line of Arnold St., to
the east end of said street, a distance of fifty-two feet. Alley between and
parallel with Ford and Grace Streets from a point two hundred thirty-five feet
east of the east line line of Arnold Street to the east end of said alley, a
distance of fifty-two feet. Alley east of and parallel with Arnold St.', extend-
ing from the east end of Grace St. one hundred fifteen n one-half feet south
of the alley. above described.
The following property may be injuriously or beneficially effceted
by such vacation: a A
Beginning at a point on the east line of Arnold Street south
of south line of Ford Street, thence east 500 feet; thence north to south line f
of Huron Street produced east, thence west to east of Arnold Street; thence
to point of beginning.
Notice of this resolution shall be published on the 31st.

Tribune and News Times.
This Board, at its office in the City HP.11 an the 23rd day of
August 1922 at'7:15 P.M. will hear and receive remonstrances fromall persons
interested in or affected by these proceedings.

Improvement Resolution No. 907. In the City of �71euth Bend, Indiana.
Resolved -that notices as to the assessments be published on the
2nd. day of August 1922 and on the 9th. day of August 1922 in the Sout Bend
Tribune and South Bend News Times, stating that this Beard will give a hearing.
on the amount of such assessments at its office in the City Hall -an the 6th:
day of SeIttember 1922 at 7:15 P.M.
Resolved further that the entire worm under the above contract
be accepted and approved and the final estimate thereon allowed.
