Smith met with the Board and took up matter of garage beizig built in public alley between Leland Avenue running north from Marion Street,' This matter discussed and referred to the Building Commissiner to investigate. Attorney S.tickland representing the Citizens Homes Company appeared before the Board and ftl:6-d petitions for pipe sewer an Taylor Street and Scott Street from Calvert Street ,to+ Eyaing Avenue and on, Kendall Street from Calvert Street to Ewing Avenue, Resolutions were ordered an said petitions. Propt.tty owners appeared and presented petition for pavement on Carroll Street from Broadway to Indiana Avenue, esolution ordered an Carroll from H^ney Avenue to Indiana. Avenue, Haney Avenue to Broadway deferred until sewer is built. a Del, C. Leer Appeared before the Board in regard to petition for pavement on Leer Street from Calvert Street to Ewing Avenue, Resolution ordered ®n same, Councilman Thernton appeared before the Beard and took up matter of ptitions filed for lights an Ls S&114 Avenue and Sunnyside Avenue, and Kalarama St and Hill Street.. The pel6 and wire inspector made the following reports. js I beg'to recommend a small light be placed at the northwest earner of Lea Salle Avenue and Sunnyside Avenue. CD T. H. Beaning, I beg te'recommend that an are light be placed at the earner of Hill Street and Kalarama and remove this sma11 light to the corner of La Salle Avenue and Sunnyside five. As there is a dark and da *er®us place just west of Hill Street on Kalarama on account of the Hoffman' Grovel' pit. T. H. Beaning. The above reports were approved by the Board and lights ordered placed. Contractors bond for the sum of A11000.00 for Arthur Veight and- L. G. Bradford approved by the Board.. a Partial estimate No. 1 for t e asphaltic concrete pavement on Donald Street from Miami Street to Leer Street grant-d to the Williston Construction Company for the sum of .$4,940.11 The following communication received from W. Gentlemen: - Enclosed find two petitions for asphalt pavement on Lafayette, M6Lrquette and Wakewa Avenuein Navarre Place. You will note that the property owners agree that the assessment may be laid against the lots opposite the park called Nokomis Park, which park is private property but which is being devoted to park purposes. The signers include all the owners except Mr. A. H. Hammond who eivns one lot ,on Wakewa Avenue and who cannot be reached at this time,. Permiss'en granted to the Indiana -Bell Telephone Company to place an anchor at 517 South Main Street in the alley between S©u.th Street and Monroe Street. Permission grantedeto the Indiana Bell Telephone Company to place an anehvr j_4 1515 Carroll St. in the alley between Indiana, Ave and Haney Avenue.. This anchor net to be placed in front of any gateway or doorway. Petition filed for pavement on alley west of Michigan Street between Colfax Avenue and La Salle Avenue and alley north of Colfax Avenue between Michigan Street and Main Street (City Hall Court).
