SPECIAL l�'IEETING - December 16, 1936
Special meeting of the Board of Public Safety vvas held on
ti"Jednesday, December 16, 1936, at 1o:00 A. T�1I. All members ti�rere
� present.
The meeting vlas called �'or the purpose of discussing the
inst�llation of traffic signals on Lincoln tihray tiuest.
Present at the meeting, including the Board, UTere John Vd.
Gibbons, Mr. Earl Reeder of Chicago, Police Oz"'ficer Ernest T�Ziller,
l�r. Qualls and Judge Avery.
After a full discussion of the matter, the Board decided to
instruct t�llr. Qualls to install three light signals of tne corner
post type at Olive, ,Johnson, Wilbsr, Blaine and Cushing Streets,
leaving the William Street installation as it is at present.
PIIr. 9ualls is to manufacture the si�nals and purchase m�terial
�'or the entire installation so that claims may be allowed during
the year 1936 from a fund established by Ordinance, the adoption
of tvhich is now pending, the expense of the inst�l].ation to be
within the sum of �1, 750.00, which is the �mount shov�n. in the
Ordiilance.
The meeting adjourned at 12:00 noon.
