Mr. Hunter �as absent. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Requisitions in the Fire Department numbers 03552 to 03558 and in the Police Department numbers 236 to 245, inclusive, were approved. Claims, �rom the following suppliers, in the amount of �346.18 were approved and ardered paid. ELECTRICgL DTPARTMENT - Mr. Qualls present: b5atters pertaining to the operation of the Electrical Department were discussed with Mr. Qualls. � �EIGHTS & MEASIIRES DEPARTN�NT - Pdr. Burns present: . Mr. Burns submitted his report of inspections during the past' �eek, showing 321 inspections made, which report is on file in the offiQe of the Board of Publie Safety. - POLICE DEPgRTl:�TT - Chief Lane present: � The ChieP submitted report from OPficer D. A. �rlartin, sho�ving that he had been ruptured on the night of September 3rd while riding a motorcycle for the City. Instructions were given to have Officer Martin report to a physician and the expense oP the operation be borne by the City. Request was received from the �esley Miller Goal Company for fifteen minute parking restrictions at their place of business. This matter was referred to the ChieP of Police for investigation and recommendation. The South Bend Lathe 1�orks requested the privilege of parking dia�onal across the street from their factorp and to have the street painted accordingly.
