Re�ular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on P�ionday,
August 17 , 1936, at 9: 00 �. T��7. T�olr. Fiuni;er �ras absent.
T�Iinutes of previous meeting vrere read and approved.
Requisitions in the Fire Depar�ment nurnbers 03469 and 03470 were
approved. Claims, from the follo`�ing suppliers, in the amount of
�27.58 rJere approved and ordered paid.

FIRE DEPARTnIENT - Chi ef Freeh pre sent: �
The Chief requested the privilege of purchasing a cher�ically
treated blanket at a cost of �15.00 for z��rapping around persons on
fire. The Board granted permission to make this purchase.
The Board received resignation as a member of the rire Department
of �dvaard Tohulka as of kugust 16, 1936. This, by regular motion,
seconded and carried, ti�as accepted and the Board gave instructions to
retain Ld��ard Tohulka on the payroll until September lst, the last t�,o
y�eeks being considered his vacation for the year.
It vaas regularly moved, seconded and carried that Frank Roytek
of the Radio �larm Station be transferred to the I+'ire Department,
effective September 1, 1936, subject to physieal examination by the
Police and Fire Physician and Pension Physician, assignment of duties
by the Fire Chief, and under probation for six month_ period.
POLICE DEPARTI�TENT - Chief Lane present:
P:s. r,mil Sharp , eonducting Used Car i;iarket at the corner of Garst
and South i:iain Streets, appeared b�fore the Board and requested
permission to display cars in the parkway at that address. Af'ter a
full discussion of the �atter, the Board granted irir. Sharp permission
, to display a maximtun o� six cars, provided license plates are shov�n.

l.�r. Burns submitted his report of inspeetions made durin� the
�reek ending xu�ust 17th, shovring the nu�►ber of insaections to be 285.
