Stickland and A., B. Thielens represemilIg Citizens. Homes CoM&pny presente at said hearing and stated people living in southeasterly part of city needed street car servive, others present, were R. R. Smith, Vice President and Gen'1. Mgr, Chicago, South Bend & Northern Indiana Railway Company, Councilman Erler and Gall. This neetin _resolved itself into a public discussion of the quest}'on whether or not street car tracks should be put in on Fellows Street, and the Board after hearing all parties interested took no action on said franchise, but defer hame until some future data. Petition filed for a light at the corner of Kemble Avenue and Donald Street. Same referred to the pole and wire inspector for investigation and report. Conions w* h- Mains Nos 10054-6 WHEREAS, the Board o rdi� f Public Works on the day of May 1922g- - ..did alopt a resolution ordering. and requiring the. permanent improvement of Street from Street to.. .8tUallo,4ker Park Street, by paving the roadway the same, and WHEREAS, the City Civil Engineer has prepared and filed in the office of this Board a report showing the number and location of the service pipes, mains, conduits, lateral„ and connections which are, or will be necessary to accorrmceite the abutting property and the owners thereof with gas, water, sewer, and ether conveniences and necessaries: and alfo said City Givil Engineer has prepared and filed in said office specifications showing the mater'al to be used and the maner of laying said service pipes Mains, Coaduits, laterals and connections from the mains to the points, in- side the curb lines. THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of Public Workes of the City of South Bend, Indiana, that the report of the City Civil Engineer is adopted, and fa*d report and the specificaicrs prepared and fled by him are made a part of this resolution as fully and effectually as if copied herein at full length; and it is fur- ther ordered that all of such private connections with-, the sewer, gas,. and water mains be made in said street by I bringing them inside the %qurb lines thereof.
