Board met in regular session at 8:30 P.M. All Members present,.
' Property owners -residing on Tenth Street in River Park appppeared
before the Board and presented a petition for a water main. on Tenth Street, this matter
was referred -to the Water Department for consideration.
Mayor E. F. Seebirt with Members of the Board of Health met with the
Bard and a general discussion was held in regard to conditions of connecting with
sewers also the collection of Garbage.
Petition filed for sewer on Calvert Street from Miami Street
to, Leer Street. Read and plaeed o,-, file.
The following resolutions were adopted by the Board.
STREET OR ALLEY IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 1001.
Be It Resolved by -the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend,
St. Joseph County, State of Indiana, that it is desired and deemed necessary to improve
Madison Street from Eddy Street to the east line of Judie's Addition as Follows, to -wit: -
Said street shall be graded and the roadway thereof shall be paved, and a:
also the roadway of certain or of the streets and alleyswhich enter or intersect
said street shall be graed an paved, the pavingmaterial to be used in making said improve-
ment shall be sheet asphalt, bitulithic aspphalic concrete, buck or a seven (7) inch

improve La Salle Avenue from the west line of the Bridge over the St. Joseph River
to, the west line of Main Street as follows, to -wit: -
The roadway of said avenue
shall be grad d d paved, and shall be widened to a uniform width of fifty-two
and one half e(52--V feet from the west curb of Michigan Street to the west line of
Main Street, Also the roadway of certain portions of the, streets and alleys which
enter or intersect said avenue shall be graded and paved. The ppavan material
to be used in making said improvement shall be Sheei.Asphalt, Bituli hie, Ashaltic
concrete or Brick, and the foun ation shall be poAland cement concrete six (6)
inches thick, cement curb shall be constructed.aalong both sides where same is necessl
necessary and not already constructed; storm water inlets and conduits ahall be
constructed where necessary and all storm water inlet.w and manhole tops shall be
set to the proper grade, cement marginal curb shall be constructed at all street and
