Resolved further that notices be published on the 19th. day of May 1922 and on the 26th. day gf May 192�, in the South Bend News Times and South Bend Tribune stating that this Board will receive bids for the onstruetion of said improvement up to 10:00 A.M. June 6th., 1922. IN the City of South Bend, Indiana. Upon said hearing no remonstrators appeared and no written r4monstranee was filed. And the Board being fully advised in the remises, decides that the benefits to property liable to be assessed for said improvements are equal to the estimated cost of the same, as reported by the City Civil Engineer, and thereupon }takes final action on said resolution as originally adopted, and the same is hereby in all things, ratified, confirmed and approved. Hearing had on resolution for pipe sewer on Dubail Avenue from `Leer Street to Marine Street, under Improvement Resolution No, 977• IN the City of South �tend, Indiana. Upon said hearing remonstrators appeaured and written remonstrance was filed. The Board after hearing all interested property owners present, over-pruled written remonstrance filed and the Board being fully advised in the premises decides that the benefits to property liable to be assessed ror said improvement are equal to the estimated cost of the ;same, as reported by the City.Civil Engineer, and thereupon takes final action inn said %solution as originally adopted, and the same is hereby in all things ratified, confirmed' and approved. Resolved further, that notices be published on the 19th. day of May 1922 and on the26th.. day of May 1922 in. the South Bemd News Times and Tribue, stating that this Board will gdoeive bids. for the construction of said improvement up to 1.00 A.M. Hearing had on resolution for pipe sewer on Georgianna Avenue from South Bend Avenue to St, Vincent Street, under Improvement Resolutie No, 979. In the City of South B*Ad Indiana. . Upon said hearing remonstrators appeared and a written remonstrance filed April 10th., 1922. The Board after hearing all parties interested over -ruled written remonstrance filed April 10th,, 1922, and the Board being fully advised in the premises,•decides that the benefits to property liable to be assessed for said improvement are equal to the estimated cost of the same, as reported by the City Civil Engineer, and t. 14pon takes final action on said resolution as originally adopted, and the same is hereby in all things, ratified, confirmed and approved. Line of Portage Heights Addition, under improvement Resolution No, 975. In the City of South Bend, Indiana. In the.above matter remonstrators appeared and remonstrated against sewer connecting up.with Beale Street sewer already in. Property owners petitioning for said sewer present. The Beard after hearing all parties interested decided to defer action on said resolution until Wednesday May 24th., 1922. at 7:15 :.M. ftdnesday May' 17th., 1922. Continued. Petitions filed by Councilman Thornton read andplaced on file. Petition for street light on Pokagon Street at the Chicago, South Bend and Northern.Indiana Railway Company referred -to Beaning for report. - Petition for resurfacing of Eddy Street from La Salle Avenue to the south line of South Bend Avenue with asphaltic concrete, read and placed on file. Be It Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, St. Josep County, State of Indiana, that it is desired and deemed necessary to improve the alley lying between ldts three (3) and six (6) and lots four (4) and five (5) in Mease Addition from La Porte Avenue to Lincoln Way West as follows, to -wit: - Said alley shall be graded and the roadway thereof shall be paved; also the roadway of certain portions of the streets nd alleys whih enter or intersect said street shall be graded and paved. The paving material to be used in making -said improvement shall be Sheet Asphalt,'Bitulithic, Asphaltic concrete, Brick or Portland cement concrete seven (7) se an inches thick, and the foundation shallbe Portland cement concrete six (6) inches thick for the sheet asphalt, bitulithic, asphaltic concrete, abd brick or rolled gravel six (6) inches thick for the Brick; Storm water inlets and conduits shall a constructed where nobssary; all storm water inlets shall be set tothe proper grade; cement marginal curb shall be constructed at all street and alley intersections where necessary, all as is more particularly shon and all in accordance with the plans, profiles, detail drawings and specifications on file in the Office of the Department of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana.
